**SPOILERS**

The current edition of True Romance (r2) is a sorry excuse for a dvd. non-anamorphic and entirely devoid of special features.

Not an uncommon situation I know but:
A) Even my VHS copy includes a trailer
B) There is an alternate ending in which Clarence dies
C) The trailer contains material not in the finished film

Surely with this in mind it is time for a special edition of what is one of the best films of the last 10 years.

Is the r1 disc any better? does anyone know anything about an impending special edition?

I'd be grateful for some answers

dude I don't have answers, but I too need ANSWERS. True romance is by far one of my fave movies and the dvd sucks. My other grip is with the Heat dvd. Same scenario.

Yeah the True Romance DVD is very poor, but I guess we have to live with it. We should storm Warner Brothers so we can get some decent DVDs. Other then that I have no answers.

just one note, their was never a filmed alternate ending featuring clarence dying. it was written by tarantino as such but it was never filmed. damn top gun directing hack director decides it aint happy enough.

I own the R2 version, and while it has no extras, it's the Director's Cut, so it has some scenes not in the original. Nothing major there, Sam Jackson is in it a little longer, the fight between Alabama and James Gandolfini is longer and a bit more brutal. Does the R1 version have the Director's Cut, too?

like Pulp Fiction, or basically any Tarantino movie, the VHS usually has more stuff than the dvd
