Hmm well over in the rant forum theres a thread for people spouting their hatred for these 2 flicks (Phantom Menace/Attack of the Clones) but you know what? Im different, and while I can say that the original trilogy was great, I actually enjoy the first 2 prequel episodes as well...

Sure they have bad acting/dialogue, and TONS of CGI, but I dont care... It's fuckin Star Wars people, and thats why I enjoy em.. Im not lookin for the next Gone With the Wind or Casablanca with these movies, theyre popcorn fluff science-fiction movies meant to entertain, and tell a story at the same time... and while some may not agree with Mr. Lucas's execution, he did manage to do both in these 2 movies, and they kept my attention the whole time! I was thoroughly entertained! Be honest, how many people (despite whatever preconceived notions they mightve had before viewing the movies) actually WALKED OUT during one of em? Im willing to bet that there arent TOO many people... Being honest, no matter how "bad" you may think these movies are, you just cant help yourself from watching... You may liken it to the simliarity of a car wreck or some such nonsense, but the reality is that these flicks Entertain, and make money...

But I gotta say I was really satisfied with both of em (Altho I must say that AOTC was by far superior to Phantom Menace) it's actually my second favorite movie besides Empire... Anyone else enjoy these cheesy popcorn flicks as well, or am I the only one? hehe..

This is in the wrong forum. It would fit better in the General Movie Talk forum or, better yet, the Star Wars forum.

TPM wasn't that good, but AOTC was great.

Your not the only one, I enjoyed both TPM and AOTC and think they are great introductions to the classic trilogy. Neither of these films deserve as much bashing as they've been getting and by seeing all the making of featurettes I can see where Lucas is coming from (he's probably one of the most hard working directors.) I can't wait for the third one!
