Tonight I checked Training Day (8/10) out and it was quite good but I have to go with Narc (9/10). I absolutely love that movie as you can likely tell from my avatar and my numerous posts regarding it :D

I'd say Narc (7/10). Training Day was an ok movie with a really good Denzel Washington performance, while Narc was a good cop movie with lots of atmosphere and great performances by the 2 leads

Training Day was a solid flick with a very good performance by Denzel and a really nice scene for Cliff Curtis. Narc had the better script, better acting, and better direction though, so it's definetly the better flick, best cop movie since the original Insomnia actually.

Training Day (7/10) was good, but it seemed to me like it was trying very hard to be really gritty and exceptional, but wasn't really. Narc (8/10) was the real deal. The acting, direction, script, all great. Ray Liotta deserved an Oscar nom, and so did the movie's cinematography.

I think the acting overall was better in Narc. Ethan Hawke was totally phoning it in, and certainly did not deserve an Oscar nomination for his nothing-special performance. Denzel was good, maybe very good, but didn't even deserve his Oscar nomination, let alone the win. (We all know he only got it since he hadn't won a Best Actor one yet.) I'd venture to say that Jason Patric gave a better performance in Narc than Denzel did in Training Day, not to mention the even-better Ray Liotta.

NARC all the way! At least there was a method to Ray Liotta's madness, whereas Denzel was just pure evil with no redeeming qualities! Proves that the Oscars are very political!

Narc :) but Training Day is okay. I don't think it's that great. Training Day has good acting but Narc has better acting, better screenplay, better directing, better editing, and better cinematography. if I had a choice between Training Day or Gumbel 2 Gumbel? I would definetly choose Gumbel 2 Gumbel without hestintation.

Training Day ( * * * ) was very good but Narc ( * * * 1/2 ) was great.

Personally, I think both films are great. But, in the end, I'd go with "Narc". The film's story is what really gives it the advantage over "Training Day".

Cool! No-one has voted for the AWFULLY overrated Training Day. I mean just look at Liotta's performance in Narc and you'd know how unfair Washington's Oscar winning was.

NARC

Superior acting... directing... story... script... everything. And since it's such a great movie, and released in such a weird time frame, it won't get nominated for an "Oscar"... and thank god for that.

Its gotta be NARC(10/10) the way this film pulled out all the stops in acting, directing, writing it sure floats up there as a spectacle of flmmaking. Now Training Day(7/10) was alright but that was only because of Ethan Hawke's and Denzel Washington's performances..
