I just read the new article on JoBlo's homepage about a fourth installment of The Crow. With the original being one of my favorite movies of all time, I was thoroughly disappointed with the last two sequals, to say the least.

Here is the article about it:JoBlo's short article (http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=1980)

I checked all the links I could find, there's not much information about it yet, only that production started last September, I believe. Anyone who's a fan of the Crow, any thoughts? Is this series headed for a comeback, or does it sound like the many others that have been overkilled with sequals? Any comments appreciated...

i'm probably standing alone when i say that i LIKED the sequals...i just don't compare them to the original, or even like to think that they are in any way connected, because if that were the case, i'd hate em. i know nothing could compare to the late great brandon lee's performance in that movie.

I really don't like the plot for the 4th movie, but I'll probably see it anyways, since I didn't hate the 2nd movie and hated the 3rd, so it could go either way

Why oh why must they continue to butcher this movie? The first one was wonderful, and every sequel following it has been a terrible waste of time. This is one movie I really wished could have stayed away from being a Hollywood money vehicle.

I loved the first, I skipped the second, I liked the third, and I'm looking forward to the fourth. It's got a good cast lined up (with the exception of Macy Gray...ugh), and it sounds like it'll have a very different flavor to it than its predecessors, and that can be a very good thing. The idea of moving The Crow from urban decay to Tex-Mex southwest sounds pretty cool to me.

To add to all that, the cast seems to be in love with the script, and this early script review supports that claim with an obvious thumbs-up:

Greedy bastards. Stop beating upon this great movie with your shitty sequels. And the freaking Suspiria remake...

Fuck you, Dimension!

i posted something very near to this down in the horror boards. the original movie is a true masterpiece. the sequels were, to be utterly honest, a load of bollocks. a 4th movies is almost certainly not needed . to bring out a fourth movie....its kind of like necrophilia. its not so much flogging a dead horse, as flogging the coffin and the headstone...

crow 4 most definetly does not have my support (but being a fan of the first movie, i am still gonna end up seeing this....and hey, i will be the first to admit it if i have made a mistake. but i trust my instincts on this one...)
