What are your top 10 favorite horror movies of all time. Actually, it doesn't have to be just 10. You can tell as many as possible. I need suggestions about some new ones to rent.

If at all possible, could you tell me what type of movie it is (zombie, creature, sci-fi, slasher, ghost, etc.) and/or why you liked it? If you don't have time, that's okay. Here are my favorites:

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

*The Ring (amazing movie)
*The Mothman Prophecies (terrified me)
*Signs
*The Sixth Sense
*Frailty
*Final Destination
*Final Destination 2

Superior Slasher Movies:

Scream
Scream 2
Scream 3

Other Awesome Movies (*=better than others)

*House on Haunted Hill
*Ringu
*Unbreakable
*The Others
*One Hour Photo
*I Know What You Did Last Summer
*Dracula 2000
*One Hour Photo (beyond creepy)
The In Crowd (awesome, cheesy, trashy fun!)
Ghost Ship
Darkness Falls (bad finale)
They
Identity (only first 2/3, HATE the ending)
Below (creepy, but slow pacing)
Halloween Resurrection (hey, it was kinda funny)
Urban Legend
What Lies Beneath

WORST:

Abandon
The Blair Witch Project
Bleed
Bones
The Exorcist
feardotcom (awesome visuals, some scary moments...mess of a plot)
The Haunting (beautiful movie, but kinda strange)
Identity (ending)
Jeepers Creepers (one of my least favorite movies of all time)
Thirteen Ghosts (same as above)
Urban Legends: Final Cut

If Se7en counts as a horror, and I don't think it does, then so would The Silence of the Lambs and both films would, undoubtly be on my list. But like I said, I don't count them as horror films because they serial killer-crime thrillers. Also I would have to include Copycat and that would also have made my list.

And those films I suppose are negotiable but Donnie Darko is definately not a horror film.

Maybe not your conventional horror movie, but in my opinion, it is a horror movie. About the horrors of seemingly normal people.
