The King of slasher movies is JASON. Who killed more people? Which series has more sequels? Jason is the king. I'm not saying he's my favourite killer, but he's the real King of slasher movies.

I also love the FRIDAY THE 13TH series but Jason is a bit to clumsy and dumb to be a good king ;)

C'mon guys.... Jason is the king- highest body count highest sequel number- as if there is any other.

2nd. is Krueger

3rd. Myers

4th. Leatherface

5th. Chucky(LUV this little guy)

And dh1989, Pumpkinhead franchise is more of a monster movie, not a slasher franchise. Slasher films require elaborate deaths or knifings or hackings or etc., where as The 2 Pumpkinhead films do not have many of those, just rippings and clawing- the usual Pumpkinhead fare.

I will give you props for mentioning him though, he gets little credit as a monster. Underrated film the first one.Kudos to you man, kudos to you.:cool:

Michael Myers is the King of all Slashers,while he may not have as many sequels as Jason or Freddy his sequels are superior to theirs,his original film is the best slasher flick of alltime.He is the moast goal oriented and relentless of all the killers he is also the smartest knows how to drive a car,breaks into offices to steal the info he needs,thease are just a few examples of this. He also has to deal with trained professionals trying to stop him cops,Dotors[Dr.Loomis kicks ass may Donald Pleasance R.I.P] and not just horney teenagers like the others.

SCREAM is my favorite horror movie and my favorite movie in general of all time, but none of the killers in the three movies are exactly classics, at least not the best.

I've got to go with FREDDY! He rocks! He's THE best! The NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET SERIES is better than the FRIDAY THE 13th series, in my opinion. I'm a fan of both though, but A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET has better movies in it.
