For me, it is a close race between a few, but I am going to go with the T-X from T3: Rise of the Machines. She is amazing. Cold, calculated, and menacing. A truly SCARY character. I was impressed by Ms. Loken's performance, and the character. One of the best villians in a long, long, long time.

You saw T3 already?

***SPOILERS FOR IDENTITY***

I thought Ray Liotta was a good villain in Identity.

No question, it's Bill the Butcher from Gangs of New York. Charismatic and powerful yet so genuinely evil.

Was it nearly as good as the other two before it?

There were so many great ones such as Alonzo Harris in Training Day, Saruman in Lord of the Rings, Sy Parrish in One Hour Photo, etc. But the best one is hands down Bill the Butcher in GANGS OF NEW YORK.

Bill The Butcher is the best villian in the past 3 years, no contest!! He owned the screen every second he was in it, truly a ruthless but complex character.

Bill The Butcher is probably the best villian since Darth Vader (the only one that gives him a run for his money is perhaps John Doe) so he easily takes the cake here.

Bill the Butcher and William Stryker. I know they've already been said, but I got to agree with the majority.

The best villain of the past three years is undoubtably Bill The Butcher fromGangs Of New York. How Daniel Day-Lewis didn't win the Oscar, I'll never know (until I see the Pianist). Go Bill, fucking awesome.

William Stryker from X2 - I wasn't a fan of the film per sé, but Brian Cox does calm, calculated, intelligent evil so very well.

Sy Parrish from One Hour Photo - again, not exactly a villain, but certainly chilling and downright scary enough to send you to bed with nightmares.

Francis Dolarhyde from Red Dragon - quiet, introverted and in posession of frightening control and strength.

Bill the Butcher from Gangs of New York - whilst I think the character was slightly overrated, Day Lewis added a lot of credibility and authenticity to what was ultimately a thankless role.

Rebecca Romjin-Stamos was also a great villain in Femme Fatale (8.5/10).

Saw T3 yesterday and Kristanna Loken as T-X was a badass! My favorite villain from the Terminator movies.

...that were used, and abused, I might add, in Requiem for a Dream. Although the film is a significant case of style over substance, (substance...s...bwaha!) it still features one of the most cold, calculating villians, ever to grace the screen. Best performance of all time. Marvelous, simply marvelous! My vote (my real vote, anyway)...Tyrannosaurus Rex, from Jurassic Park. Now thats a real villian.

...fuck, I guess he doesn't count, does he? Fucking stupid shit in-a-box... Okay, my vote goes to Agent Smith, than. Even if the Matrix films are overrated, Agent Smith still kicks ass.
