Hopefully none of you are getting sick fo all these tournaments, I know I'm not.
Anyway I've decided to start a Sopranos Tournament.
Here is the first match:
Pilot
In the series opener, we meet Tony Soprano and his two families -- the genetic one and the one in the Mob -- and see how pressure from both causes him to see a therapist.
vs.
Guy Walks Into A Psycaiatrists Office
It's the long-awaited season opener and the more things change, the more they stay the same -- and create agita for Tony Soprano.
I'm going with Guy Walks Into A Psycaiatrists Office I love the opening with "It Was A Very Good Year" playing in the background.

Woah cool people actually replied!! LOL. I'll try some more rounds and see if I can get something going.
Mr. Ruggerio's Neighborhood
Agent Harris and his team concoct an elaborate plan to wiretap the Soprano home, placing a tail on every inhabitant. Tony keeps an eye on Patsy Parisi, twin brother of Uncle Junior's slain ally Philip.
vs.
For All Debts Public & Private
With the slowing economy affecting business, Tony invests in a potentially lucrative land deal, while Carmela frets about the family's long-term financial security. Problems abound among Tony's crime family as well: Uncle Junior worries about his pending RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) trial; Adriana confides in her new friend Danielle, who may be an undercover FBI agent; and Christopher sets his sights on avenging an old murder.
Thats a tough one, but I'll have to go with For All Debts Public & Private.

Cool, I'm hoping more people will get involved in this tournament anyway heres the next match up.
46 Long
Can't anybody manage two minutes without Tony's supervision? Livia needs household help; Chris and Brendan are setting up their own jobs; and Anthony, Jr. needs someone to find his science teacher's stolen car.
vs.
Do Not Resuscitate
When Pussy goes to the doctor for steroid injections in his back, the person leafing through old magazines in the waiting room is FBI Agent Skip Lipari. As they drive home afterwards it's revealed that Sal Bompensiero, AKA Big Pussy Bompensiero, made man and life-long friend of Tony Soprano, is facing a heroin possession charge and has become an informant for the Feds.
My vote goes to 46 Long.

Proshai Livushka
Livia gets her wish. The Lord takes her. Janice returns from Seattle to arrange the funeral. Tony has a "chat" with Meadow's new boyfriend Noah.
vs.
No Show
Carmela finds out that Meadow plans to skip her sophomore year and go to Europe. Carm and Tony don't approve. Dr. Melfi convinces Tony to have Meadow see a psychologist. She gives him a name of a conventional child psychologist who tells Meadow to go to Europe. Tony and Carmela do not like this and Meadow runs away. They think she did go to Europe, even though she didn't. She went Columbia to apply for a new class. Aiderana finds out that Danielle works for the FBI.
My vote goes to Proshai Livushka

Denial, Anger, Acceptance
Everybody wants something: Meadow and Hunter want Chris to help them score some crank, a Hasidic man wants Tony to help his daughter get a divorce, and Tony wants to help a friend in the hospital.
vs.
Toodle-Fucking-Oo
Big brother of the late, great Jackie Aprile, Richie has just finished ten years in prison and is looking to pick up where he left off. He figures it should be pretty easy, too. After all, the jerky kid he used to look out for in the old neighborhood has grown up to be none other than the current Boss, Tony Soprano.

Not too many people in that match thanks to everyone who took part in it though.
NEXT MATCH:
Fortunate Son
Christopher finds that being a made man isn't all it's cracked up to be. Janice moves into her mother's house and clashes with the housekeeper, Svetlana. Tony and Dr. Melfi probe his anxiety attacks while Anthony Jr. excels on the gridiron.
vs.
Christopher
Bobby Baccala's wife, Karen dies in a car accident, leaving him devistated. He confesses to Janice, who is seeing a shrink of her own, that he feels guilty for Karen's death. He was caught in traffic because of her accident. Also, Silvio and Ralphie try to stop a protest at the Columbus Day parade.
Although the guy who played Bobby Baccala's acting in "Christopher" was great my vote goes to "Fortunate Son".

I honestly thought that The Sopranos were more poular then this anyway this tournaments still good fun and should be interesting to see what episodes come out on top.
Meadowlands
Tony decides to find out about Dr. Melfi's personal life, while Anthony, Jr. finds out about his dad's professional one.
vs.
Commendatori
This week Tony goes to the old country to conduct new business while Carmela stays home and contemplates the nature of marriage.
Both great episodes, but I'll have to go with Commendatori, I feel this is one of the best Sopranos episodes ever.
Next rounds going to be a killer two of the best Sopranos episodes ever go head to head:eek:

Hucksta G
07-27-2003, 03:03 AM
3-1 to Commendatori
Next round should bring in a lot of people as two big episodes go head to head.
Employee of the Month
Ralph Cifaretto, who took over Richie Aprile's garbage business and is dating Jackie Aprile's widow, Rosalie, endears himself to Jackie Jr. but loses points with Tony. Tony's therapy takes a detour when a personal crisis gets in the way (remember the rape, schmoes!!!). Svetlana enlists Russian thugs in her conflict with Janice and New York City crime boss Johnny Sack moves to Tony's neighborhood.
vs.
The Weight
An enraged Johnny Sack seeks vengeance after a disparaging remark is made about his wife; Meadow considers volunteer work at the South Bronx Law Center; Furio hosts a housewarming party; Silvio and Christopher make an offer to an old-time hit man; and Tony and Carmela disagree about the family finances.
This is the hardest match so far two of the best episodes in my opinion, since I have no choice but to vote for one of them I'll go with Employee of the Month.

College
On a trip to Maine to visit colleges with Meadow, Tony thinks he spots an old friend with whom he has some unfinished business.
vs.
Big Girls Don’t Cry
Watch out, New Jersey, Furio Giunta has arrived. The latest addition to the Soprano crew is safely in the States and now that his operation has some new talent, the Boss can make a few organizational changes.
Although College was a great episode I never liked it as much as everyone else but Big Girls Don't Cry happens to be one of my favouirte Sopranos episodes so my vote goes to....you gueesed it Big Girls Don't Cry.

Another Toothpick
Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri, Sr. comes out of retirement, much to the chagrin of his son and Uncle Junior. Artie Bucco faces up to his feelings toward his wife Charmaine and his hostess, Adriana. Carmela takes a more active role in Tony's therapy.
vs.
Pie-O-My
Tony discovers he has a knack for horseracing strategy when Ralph buys a filly named "Pie-O-My." Ralph wins $40,000 and shares it with Tony. The mob boss is smitten with the filly, and his tough-guy demeanor softens whenever he's around the animal. But at home, things are not as serene for Tony. When Carmela presents him with an irrevocable trust, he refuses to sign the document. Meanwhile, Adriana finds her club increasingly used as a place of business for Christopher and his cronies; a court sketch artist incurs the wrath of Uncle Junior over an unflattering likeness; and Janice comforts Bobby.
My vote goes to "Another Toothpick" that episode has to be one of the most violent Sopranos episodes ever IMO.

Pax Soprana *There you go Bryce ;)*
Uncle Junior gives everybody "agita" by announcing he's not honoring any deals made by Jackie Aprile. What's Tony going to do about it? *I was having trouble remmebering this episode from this description so I went to find som more info* Junior taxes Hesh and Tony has erotic dreams about Dr. Melfi.
vs.
The Happy Wanderer
Now that he's back with Dr. Melfi, Tony tells her that he's angry with all the "happy wanderers" in the world: the people who manage to get through life "with a clear head."At the moment, however, he doesn't have time to explore this anger. He's got to organize the "Executive Game."
My vote goes to The Happy Wanderer

University
A Bada Bing dancer looks to Tony and Ralph to meet her needs. Meanwhile, Meadow turns to her boyfriend Noah for emotional support.
vs.
Everybody Hurts
Restaurateur Artie Bucco, always a sucker for a pretty face, loans money to his hostess's brother; Anthony Jr. falls for a girl from a well-heeled family; Carmela plays matchmaker for Furio; and Tony hears some surprising news about an old associate.
Although University will win and probably deservs it as it really showed what a psycho Ralphie was I am going to vote for Every Body Hurts...but I gotta admit it was very hard to choose.

Down Neck
Anthony, Jr.'s troubles in school cause Tony to look back on his own formative years and his relationships with Livia, Uncle Junior, and his father.
vs.
D-Girl
On the eve of Anthony, Junior's confirmation, uncertainty abounds. A.J. has discovered Camus and Nietzsche and thinks life is meaningless. Christopher has a tryst with his cousin's filmmaker fiancee and thinks he would rather be a player in Hollywood than New Jersey. And Pussy must decide whether the threat of thirty years in prison can force him to wear a wire into Tony's house.

Tony's feud with Ralph reaches the fail-safe point. Meadow and Jackie Jr. find they have more in common than they thought. Tony's generosity in giving his time slot with Dr. Melfi to another patient pays off.

Mergers and Acquisitions
Furio takes a trip to his native Italy to visit his father; Carmela explores new avenues in the investment world; Paulie dotes on his mother at Green Grove; Ralph shows off his new girlfriend

The Teeltale Moozadell
Tony checks out a new Mercedes - and the Mercedes saleswoman, Gloria. Later, he gives Carmela a sapphire ring for her birthday, and Christopher gives Adriana her very own music club. Anthony Jr. is busted for vandalizing the school swimming pool.
vs.
Whoever did this
At first, Ralphie's biological son is playing archery with a friend, and is hit by an arrow. A big loss of oxygen caused him to become a "vegetable." In another development, the stables burned down, Pie-oh-My was burned badly and was put to death. Tony thinks that this is Ralphie's doing and whacks him. To Save Us All From Satan's Power
Memories of Christmas 1995 send Tony to Dr. Melfi. Janice hosts Christmas dinner. Silvio dreams of missing cheese and a dirty rat. Baccala reluctantly dons the Santa suit that Pussy used to wear for a party.
vs.
The Strong Silent Type
Dr. Melfi disagrees with Tony's latest self-evaluation; Anthony Jr. reluctantly accompanies his mother on a visit to Furio's; Christopher's future may not be so rosy after all. *To me this seemed a bit vague so I went to get some more info*. Tony blames the death of Ralph on the New York family and Christopher checks into rehab for his heroine addiction.
My vote goes to The Strong, Silent Type, althought To Save Us All From Satan's Power was good, The Strong, Silent Type was classic such as with Christopher sitting on Adriana's dog and killing it and the fight when they all meet together to discuss Christopher's problems with that councilor.

Isabella
While Tony strikes up a friendship with a beautiful Italian exchange student, his enemies strike a deal to move against him.
VS.
Knight in White Satin Armor
What's to be done about Richie Aprile? It's not a rhetorical question. And it's going to have to be answered soon because he's rapidly running out his string with Tony. Richie's not the only one with whom Tony would like to sever ties. He's been trying to break up with Irina, his Russian goomah, but she's not the kind of girl you can just shove a pie at, Junior-style. Meanwhile, Pussy's grown increasingly resentful of the Boss' treatment of him since his return. Is Pussy's resentment strong enough that he'll finally give Tony up to the Feds?
I sense theres going to be some tough decisions being made here, my vote goes to Isabella but just by a hair.

Inspired by Ralph, Jackie, Jr. decides to "make his move" in organized crime. Guilt prompts Carmela to make an interesting confession to her priest.
Eloise
Tony, Johnny Sack and Carmine try to solve a business dilemma; Furio doesn't feel very lucky on a casino trip and moves back to Italy, leaving Carmela extremely depressed. She and Meadow debate the finer points of literature - in other words fighting over whether a classic book has homosexual connotations.
Both are great episodes once again, but my vote goes to Amour Fou

Amor Fou win 3-0 where were all the votes?? Thanks Bryce and Hate m All.
This match is going to be really, really hard as both these episodes are damn exceelnt and two of the best Sopranos episodes IMO.
I Dream of Jeannie Cussamano
The season closer, in which the "merda" really hits the fan: Wise guys are arrested, rats are whacked and Tony and Livia finally see eye to eye.
VS.
Funhouse
The last episode of the season finds things going pretty well for Tony. Business-wise, things are great. But despite his success, one night Tony's doubts about Pussy keep coming up - along with the chicken vindaloo he ate in an Indian restaurant. Tony wakes up determined to find out the truth about Pussy, one way or the other.
My vote goes to I Dream of jeannie Cussamano which IMO is the best Sopranos episode ever

4-1 to I Dream of Jeannie Cussamano
Army of One
Anthony Jr. faces the prospect of military school. Tony orders Ralph to deal with Jackie, Jr. and Meadow reflects the meaning of life and death in the Soprano family.
VS.
Whitecaps
Tony and Carmela look into buying a shore house; his boat goes high-tech; and the New York and New Jersey families eye each other warily as they consider the future.
Both very good episodes but my vote goes to Army of One
