What do you think of Infinifilm DVD's?? Are they good, are bad.. From what I have heaRD Infinifilm will be releasing ALL of the DVD's that are soon coming out. I personaly love the infinifilm idea becuase it allows you to go beyond the movie and into a world of interesting facts.. Do you like Infinifilm? Why or why not? If you own any Infinifilm DVD's list them below, I own every single one to ever come out...
1. Blow
2. Thirteen Days
3. Rush Hour 2
4. 15 minutes
I think infinifilm is the way of the future, the DVD's have a ton of great extra's on them, you always get your money's worth! And I can't wait to purchase the next chapter in Infinifilm......
ONE MORE THING:
infinifilm:
The movie can also be experienced with the infinifilm option enabled, allowing you to access content specifically relating to the scenes via pop-up promts that appear on screen. Explore. Escape. Interact. Take your movie-watching experience to a whole new level. Go Beyond the Movie and discover the fasinating facts and intriguing stories surronding your favorite films!Afterwards, you are returned to the movie right where you left off.
YOU CAN'T GET NO BETTER THEN THAT!!!!!

I havent had the chance to watch a film with inifilm yet. I have heard some good and some bad things about it. I guess it is only for people who are really big fans of the movies. But what makes me mad is now some dvds will have inifilm as oppose to commentary tracks which id much rather have.

I have 13 Days. Watching it with infinifilm was great, because it provided lots of historical information, as well as information on the making of the movie. I just purchased Rush Hour 2, so I will soon see if it is just as good.

I watched/own 15 Minutes (8/10), and I love the InfiniFilm thing, but it's definitely best for people who have already seen the movie. If you haven't seen it, watch it first without InfiniFilm turned on.

I think that infinifilm is a waste of time. Why watch all the special features at one time when you could enjoy them in separate sittings?
It just seems like a waste to me..its cool though. Obviously some of you like it http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

I haven't seen any Infinifilm titles yet, but I prefer to keep the movie and special features seperate... that is, when I'm watching the movie, I want to see just the movie (I rarely even listen to commentary tracks). I haven't been a fan of stuff like the "white rabbit" Matrix feature for this reason. Also, the huge "Infinifilm" logo marring the box cover art kind of annoys me.

I have not seen an Infinifilm DVD yet but I rarely listen to commentaries as I want to watch the movie.
But for some reason I did on the State and Main DVD and it was fantastic.
They had it set up so when the character was on the screen that actor was talking, it worked out fine.
And it was a hoot to listen to, very lighthearted with many little behind the scenes stories more about the actors then the movie.
But I still haven't listened to any other commentaries on other DVD's.
Out......

The Blow DVD has a ton of extras, but I didn't have time to watch them because my friend wanted it back!

When I rented Rush Hour 2 (Cool DVD by the way) I saw the InfiniFILM but didn't bother with it. I already watched it 4 times and I didn't feel like watching it the 5th time.

Can someone explain to me exactly what Infinifilm is and what the difference is between the Infinifilm DVDs and the normal ones? I have never rented or bought an Infinifilm DVD.

xirtam - The infinifilm bar is an option that allows you to watch the special features as you watch the movie. When you turn on the infinifilm option, a bar appears at the bottom of the screen (see below). As you click on the various special features that is presented on the bar, you are exposed to a wide variety of things that range from interesting facts and documentaries of locations to commentaries on special effects. In watching a movie for a third or fourth time, it is a fun thing to use. I guess it gives maximum replay value to your dvds. If special features aren't your thing (they arent that special to me), then this is a feature that you could probably shrug off (but for movies that you like, they are pretty damn cool).

Yea, but aren't they a bit overrated ?
The blue menu is like the "follow the white Rabbit" feature we see on so many DVDs ...
And I think that the extras that appear on that menu are the same extras in the "extra features" section. (I rented 15 minutes a while ago ... correct me if i'm wrong).
Nonetheless, the DVDs are very good ...

I think that they are..
Why watch them in context when you could save the time and just watch them straight down the list? Sometimes there is just too much information to watch in one sitting.

I say buy it. I really enjoyed the movie, and I give it an 8/10. Robert De Niro is good as always, and Edward Burns & Kelsey Grammar are fantastic, too. The movie also has a moral about the press, which most people didn't care for but I thought worked very well.
As for the DVD, it's what you'd expect from InfiniFilm. Very cool shit IMO, but I recommend watching the movie w/out Infinifilm on first, then watching it again with it on.
