I hardly like any of them apart from Freddy vs. Jason which looks cool but still kinda plain - that only gets a 5/10. The rest I don't really like, schomes on this board could probably make those kinds of posters in five minutes.

FREDDY VS. JASON

An awesome poster! I was shocked by how cool it was when I saw it.

Grade: A-

LE DIVORCE

At first glance I didn't care for this poster, but now I like it, it grew on me. It's kind of cool, definitely somewhat original, and the "everything sounds sexier in french" line is a good one, it's true. I had seen a different poster for it in an issue of my Entertainment Weekly though, it had Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts on it. That one wasn't very original, but those two are so cute that they made me like it. I'm sure the one with them on it is the poster that will go up in theaters, which is probably best. Those two faces on the poster will help sell tickets. Without them, it might not do as well. Although I doubt it will make much anyway (15 Million total if it's lucky).

Grade: B

FREAKY FRIDAY

For this movie, the poster really doesn't need to be creative and original, and it's not. It's completely generic. However, it's not bad for what it is.

Grade: C+

UPTOWN GIRLS

The blue poster is definitely my favorite of the two. My opinion might be a little biased since blue is my favorite color, but I also think it makes it look less plain. For some reason, I kind of love the blue one. It's not original, but it's just so exciting and colorful. Not bad at all for the kind of movie it is.

Grade (White Poster): B-
Grade (Blue Poster): A-

MY BOSS's DAUGHTER

This poster looks exactly like the original poster for A GUY THING, and the eventual DVD/VHS cover art for it. It kind of seems like a rip-off. It's a tad different, but not much. This one does have two guys and a girl on it, instead of two girls and a guy like A GUY THING had. But other than that, they look like they were seperated at birth, or maybe this one is just its clone.

Other than the obvious resemblance of the A GUY THING poster (which I liked better), this poster is OK. Cute Tara Reid is the main thing holding this one up for me. Without her, the poster wouldn't even look as good.

Grade: C+

HOW TO DEAL

This movie actually looks really good, at least from the trailer I saw. But the poster is blah. Yeah, a picture of Mandy Moore will work to sell the movie, but it still looks so plain and boring. It doesn't look like much effort went into it.

Grade: C

SPY KIDS 3-D: GAME OVER

It's nice and colorful, and better than the first two movies' posters. Nothing original, but the colorfulness helps bring it up a couple of notches.

Grade: B

JOHNNY ENGLISH

This poster is a tad too plain. It could have been better. It needs some color. It's not terrible, but it's nothing new or exciting.

Grade: C+

The only two posters that I like are for the only two movies I want to see...Freddy vs. Jason and Spy Kids 3D: Game Over. The rest of the posters looks as bad as the movies they're promoting.

How To Deal-5/10 Many Looks very very good but the all aroubd look of the poster is kinda stupid

They all look like shite. Freddy Vs. Jason is simply made to get everyone excited about the movie and make it clear that both of them are appearing in one movie. Le Divorce, does nothing for anyone, other than tell us that some people wearing good shoes star in the movie.

Is it just me or is How To Deal's poster slightly reminiscent of Fight Club and The Rules of Attraction?

FREDDY VS. JASON: 2/10. A terrible poster for a terrible looking movie. That fits well.
LE DIVORCE: 5/10. This movie looks interesting, and this poster is ok.
FREAKY FRIDAY: 2/10. See Freddy Vs. Jason.
UPTOWN GIRLS: 7/10. Both the trailer and the poster look cute.
MY BOSS's DAUGHTER: 5/10. This looks like an ok movie, and this poster is ok as well.
HOW TO DEAL: 2/10. A terrible poster for a decent looking movie.
SPY KIDS 3-D: GAME OVER: 6/10.
JOHNNY ENGLISH: 3/10

Overall, a bad group of posters.

Freddy vs. Jason 5/10 - not bad, but not terribly good. I guess that's about all you can do with a "versus" poster. What are they supposed to do, face away from one another?
Le Divorce 5/10 - six points for a sexy leg and a decent poster, but -1 for having to do with something French
Freaky Friday 0/10 - blah!
Uptown Girls A 2/10
Uptown Girls B 2/10 - why have two crappy posters. you would think one would be good.
My Boss' Daughter 4/10 - slightly interesting, but I hate Reid and Kutcher, mostly. Stamp is cool though.
How to Deal 0/10 - (vomit noises, and gagging sounds are heard throughout the land at the sight of this shit)
Spy Kids 3d: Game Over 4/10 - Gets an extra point just for Ricardo Montablan. but too cluttered.
Johnny English 7/10 - I like this for some odd reason. It has a fun feel to it.

Freddy Vs. Jason: 8/10

This was surprisingly good, despite the fact you can't do much with a vs. movie poster.

Le Divorce: 3/10

They're wearing high heels, bragging about the French. Big whoop.

Freaky Friday: 3/10

Good god, why can't the fucking marketing people get the names on the billing right? Lohan and Curtis are in the wrong spots, not aided by the fact the poster isn't that good. And Lohan made me think she was Winona Ryder for a split second.

Uptown Girls: 4/10

I like the color blue, but neither poster does much to stimulate the need to see it. Blah.

My Boss's Daughter: 4/10

I hate face posters, and considering that it's damn near a rip off of A Guy Thing's poster, that does't bode well. Not interested.

How to Deal: 5/10

Sure, the picture of Moore is alright, but that's it. And it ripped off the tagline for The Rules of Attraction.

Spy Kids: 6/10

Not too bad. The flashy colors got to me.

Johnny English: 6/10

Meh, it ain't too bad. Not too interested in seeing it though.

Freddy Vs. Jason - Good poster considering there really isn't much that can be done with a Vs. movie. 7/10

Le Divorce - Bland. I'd much rather see one with the two stars on it because they are so cute. 4/10

Freaky Friday - Bland poster for a bland but likely watchable movie. 4/10

Uptown Girls (Both) - Bland posters once again for a dull looking movie. 4/10

My Boss's Daughter - A rip-off of the A Guy Thing poster which doesn't sit well with me. 3/10

How to Deal - An extremely bland poster for a movie I want to see. 3/10

Spy Kids 3-D - A really colorful and inventive poster. There's no mention of Stallone but most will be able to tell it's him in the corner. 8/10

Johnny English - A bland poster. No other comment. 4/10

FREDDY VS. JASON-the poster of the movie I do admit looks cool but....(sigh) I am so tired of these guys. Sorry, I like the earlier first 3 but I just like something different for a change. 8/10

LE DIVORCE-Poster looks boring and movie, PASS. 1/10

FREAKY FRIDAY- Poster could have done better but I am looking foward to this movie! :D Love both Jamie Lee & Lindsay Lohan suddenly got HOT! 7/10

UPTOWN GIRLS- OK poster, interesting that they made 2 versions. Who knows. The movie has already got me interested. And in addition to Murphy, I like Dakota Fanning & 80's hottie Heather Locklear......rowr! 8/10

MY BOSS's DAUGHTER- Well since Ashton is dating Demi  I am a fan of actor Terence Stamp. 6/10

HOW TO DEAL-bland poster but I see myself going to this if it came out today...6/10

SPY KIDS 3-D: GAME OVER-This is what I call a MOVIE POSTER! Hopefully this one will be a tad better than SPK2. 8/10

JOHNNY ENGLISH- Pretty good poster concept.
I hope Rowan Atkinson will deliver some laughs like he did on his Mr Bean show on HBO , THAT WAS FUNNY! The movie version, I wasnt too crazy for. :( 8/10

They are all garbage! I haven't seen many good posters lately. Although I do like the ones for Mystic River and Underworld and Seabiscuit, that's about it. All of these ones are generic and dull, uninspired. The Cooler is a nice one(it's in one of the threads about rating posters)...I wish they would spend more time thinking of interesting pictures instead of just taking a quick pic of the stars and throwing it on a poster with the credits...curses hollywood

The Freddy Vs. Jason is pretty cool (if a bit generic... I'd give it a 7/10) but all other posters are trash, especially the ones for Freaky Friday and My Boss's Daughter... ugh!

Freddy Vs Jason 6/10
Considering its a Vs movie, you'd expect the head to head of these two, and the faces look kinda cool, but there isn;t a whole lot going on. No tagline or cast mention. But I guess it's not going for the plast sexy and familair faces on like Scream, I Know...or Valentine. So for that it gets credit.

Le Divorce 7/10
No doubt having Hudson and Watts would get more attention, but this is still a good poster. I don't know what it is that I like, it just has that something. The tagline is cute, but had I not seen the add, i'd be expecting a much different flick via perception of this poster.

Freaky Friday 5/10
It will get its audience target across with this. The film has been remade a dozen times, but stil...The film gets its plotline across with the poster. And Lindsay Lohan really got hot all of a sudden.

Uptown Girls White 4/10, Blue 5/10
Not terribly inventive posters, and the pig is kinda weird there, but Brittany Murphy is hot. The posters do look a bit amateurish, but the blue has a little more oomph than the white, but they are both blah. Still i'll probably end up seeing this one.

My Boss's Daughter 5/10
We've seen this kinda design before, though mainly when there's a love triangle. The trailer for this was amusing, so i'll be checking it out, but had it not been for sex-on-legs Tara Reid, though she and Ashton look mannequinely perfect, this wouldn't be as easy on the eye.

How To Deal 2/10
Mandy Moore is gorgeous and talented, and this film actually looks promising, so its a shame it has recieved such dodgy treatment. The tagline is nothing new (Rules of Attraction, as mentioned), and the the font is boring, so whoever came up with this should severely think again in the future.

Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over 7/10
I like the Spy Kids flicks, and this is pretty good. Colourful and it will no doubt get the target's attention. Thankfully it isn't too busy, but Stallone does look a little strange in the corner for some reason. I'll be seeing this probably.

Jphnny English 4/10
The film has already opened in Oz back in April, and was a hit, but didn't deserve to be as it was disappointing, which is a shame because Atkinson is a good comedian, see Mr Bean, Blackadder, Rowan Atkinson Live, but I remember seeing this poster and laughing at his facial expression. The tagline gets it across that he's a bumbling clumsy agent. Pretty bland.

FREDDY VS. JASON: 5/10. Not that bad, doesnt tell much, the title tells more.
LE DIVORCE: 3/10. Okay......
FREAKY FRIDAY: 0/10. One of the ugliest I have seen, I smell a failure.
UPTOWN GIRLS: 6/10. The darker one looks better, but nothing special. I want to see the movie for its scenery.
MY BOSS's DAUGHTER: 2/10. What did that do to Ashtons Face??
HOW TO DEAL: 7/10. The poster looks great, but what does it mean?
SPY KIDS 3-D: GAME OVER: 2/10. Looks like a computer game, boring.
JOHNNY ENGLISH: 8/10 Absolutley Hilarious. The "He knows nothing" is great. It looks good.
