28 Days Later - 3.8 mill (please be more, though - more $$$ = more horror flicks for us!)

Well, according to CNN.com, T3 took in $44 million (good, but not as good as I thought) and 28 Days Later took in $6.1, I think. It still held strong in the top 10 (if I remember correctly, it held onto the #6 position - not bad!)

YEAH!!!!! I am happy it did pretty well - good news for us.
I do consider terminator action/horror but not sci-fi :D. I have this personal anger about anything being set in the future just has to be sci-fi.
I thought the first one had some creepy images and with the stalk scenes, I saw it as a type of action/horror

I don't know if this counts, but I'm predicting that Pirates of the Caribbean will reap something to the tune of $40.5 million.

Pirates Of The Carribean - $38 Million
A little off topic: I saw the 28 Days Later trailer for the 1rst time last night, it claimed it was "The scariest movie since The Exorcist!" Is that true, since it's my fav. movie (The Exorcist) I was thinking about checking this one out.

well, they said the same thing about The Ring and Blairwitch and they weren't so... i wouldn't believe it. I have to wait 'till September 'cause FOX SUCKS!! and won't expand it until then. so if i were you i'd go see it, fuck the reviews (though they've actually been pretty good) and support scary movies!!

I don't know about it being the scariest movie since the Exorcist, but it's probably the best movie that I've seen this year. Definitely a good time!

Is it just me or have they been using that "The scariest film since THE EXORCIST" quote TOO much?! If only I could count how often it was used.

I agree 100% with what you're saying JayWolf - and it's usually attached to trendy little flix. If you haven't seen it, though, don't let the foolish taglines prevent you. It may not be Dawn of the Dead, but it's well worth the money.

Pirates took in 46.4 mill (not sure if this is a 5 day total or for just the weekend)
Boyle's flick has held on much longer than I thought that it would have, even though I loved it!
