I heard that after "Kill Bill" QT will be writing and directing a WW2 movie called "Glorious Bastards". Apparently, the script is 3/4 finished, and is slated for a 2004 release. Now, this could be complete bull-shit, so don't get mad at me if it is, but the site I read about it on is usually pretty legit. Check it out at www.tarantino.info

Some people say that it's actually called Unglorious Bastards. I'm not quite sure which is true, though...
I don't think "Unglorious" is even a word, so I hope QT goes with the former.

Yea, Unglorious isn't a word... the proper term would be...
Ungloriouslessness :D

I heard The Vega Bros. was next, or that he wanted to shoot it pretty soon. But we won't know anything worthwhile until he finishes Kill Bill

I'd love him to go for THE VEGA BROTHERS. So far KILL BILL hasn't got me as hyped as the symple rumor of a VEGAS BROS. flick has -- I mean, Vincent Vega and Vic Vega. John Travolta and Michael Madsen. Black suits. Big Kahuna burgers. I wanna see that for Chrissakes!

i wanna see THE VEGA BROTHERS (john travolta & michael madsen) vs. THE GECKO BROTHERS (george clooney & quentin tarantino) .... that would be better then Freddy vs. Jason and Alien vs. Predator.

Vega Bros. would be absolutely amazing.
But it won't happen. Both Michael Madsen and John Travolta are now over 40, so it wouldn't work with a prequel. And as for a sequel, both characters die.

HOLY FUCKING APESHIT!!!
That's the coolest idea I've heard for a movie in a long time. I hope someone with the power and the balls to do it also thinks of this. Man, that would be a great flick. Four of the coolest guys onscreen together. Wow.

His next was supposed to be Inglorious Bastards a WWII flick with Michael Madsen and Adam Sandler (that's right...Adam Sandler) but now the name changed to Glorious Bastards with rumours of cast being Charles Brosnon and some others. He should be finishing up with the script which is nearly done and my estimation tells me its gonna be late 2004 or early 2005 release.
Vega Brothers is a total rumour.

I think it may be a figment of Michael Madsen's imagination. Hope springs eternal and all that bullshit. He's the only dude i've seen mention it in an interview.

Tarantino is cool, no doubt there, but he can't act for shit.
I think the correct title of the film is INGLORIOUS BASTARDS.
I'll have to double check that, mind.

As it says in the article on tarantino.info, it's "Glorious Bastards" is based on a 70's book or movie or something called "Inglorious Bastards". And Tarantino also said that The vega bros. is nothing more than a fan-fic urmour.

Yeah...a fan-fic rumour AND a figment of Michael Madsen's imagination. I read an interview in either Empire or Total Film within which he claimed it was gonna happen sometime.

How long ago did you see this? Because it was probably real at some point...

Hmm...sometime in the last 4-6 months I would guess. I'm not particularly good when it comes to determining how much time has passed between any event and the present so I could be out by anything from a couple of months to a couple of years (i'm exaggerating). He definitely mentioned it though. I'll try to track down the mag and get and exact quote.

Well, if Madsen was talking about this in the last year or so, either he's crazy, or Quentin Tarantino forgot to tell him something...

Were those two characters from different movies supposed to be related?? that's pretty cool, wasn't Madsen originally slated down to play Travolta's part?

There brothers and yes, Madsen was supposed to play Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction but did Wyatt Earp instead.

Something I read about recently, I find quite amusing.
Apparently, Vic and Vincent Vega aren't related at all, QT just uses name association.
For Example:
Vega (RD & PF) is a killers name
Scagnetti (RD & NBK) is an authority name
Marvin (RD & PF) is the fall guy.... etc.
I like to believe that the two are brothers, but this explanation does make sense.

I read somewhere, I believe it was Tarantino.info, that they are in fact brothers. But that is a really cool way of looking at it.

Yes, that's the sound of my brain hitting the wall as I try to wrap my head around the notion or Tarin-fucking-tino doing a WWII film.
He'd have to cut back on his traditional "cool" dialogue because, let's face it, it would seem kind of out of place in the 1940's...
(Or not, I mean it is Tarantino, he can pretty much do whatever the hell he wants and fans will be happy)
I wonder what aspect of WWII it would focus on.....Dday? probably not.....
Perhaps its just a story set around the events of WWII, but not specifically warfare....
Nothing we can do but speculate until then of course

That'd be cool...Imagine it!
Steve Buscemi's running under the bombs, he zigzags, zigzags, and stop next to bad-ass Harvey Keitel behind a dune.
STEVE BUSCEMI: Hey, where's the comode in this fucker, I need to take a squirt?
HARVEY KEITEL: If you take a squirt before I kill that fuckin' Nazi, I kill you. Repeat. If you take a squirt before I kill that fuckin' Nazi, I kill you.
Some Nazi jumps over the dune yelling a weird Nazi yell. Steve Buscemi takes out two Berettas and unloads them on the Nazi, à la John Woo.
STEVE BUSCEMI (blood all over his face): Hey, Mr. Wolf, got pie?
HARVEY KEITEL: Pie? It's D-day, fucker!
STEVE BUSCEMI: Hey, any time is good for pie.

I'd pay 8 bucks to see that scene alone on the big screen.
