Ohhhhhh, I want to see this so bad!! Has anyone seen it? Does anyone have a copy they'd want to give up??!! Tell me, and give me your thoughts on the movie!

THE HOLE is a film that I loved and the friends I was with didn't like so much basicly because there are some plot holes (uncanny eh).
However I find this film quiye chilling and as long as it isn't wathced with a frown to start with plays along as a lot of fun with a few shocks.
I don't want to give anything away and a review would reveal too much so all I can say is that it is deffently worth renting.
After that well it's up to you to buy I know I did;)

movies, I'm suprised that you've had trouble finding it.. I got my copy at blockbuster.

worth a look, but as Corpse Candle said, its a bit jumbled... there are some HUGE plotholes and you may even find the twists to be pretty cliched.

however, the direction is slick and there's enough suspense/mystery to keep you going. Thora Birch kicks MAJOR ass in this flick.

Yeah this film is pretty sweet. More psychological and a thriller than a straight out slasher/horror. Thora Birch was amazing, and pulled off an impressive english accent, Desmon Harrington, who went on to Ghost Ship and Wrong Turn, continues to impress in this genre and Keira Knightley is about as sexy as ever, and a little tit shot is sneeked in for good measure. The film won't be for everyone, but for what it is, it's pretty bloody good.

I caught this movie on TMN a few months back.

I loved the movie! Thora Birch was wicked. It was a little hard to follow but still good. Kiera Knightly was also wicked as the skanky bitch girl.

I saw this movie on sale at a "STAR STRUCK" store in Toronto.

The Hole is a great psychological thriller that I enjoyed from start to (slightly unbelievable) end. All five of the leads are convincing in their roles (which admittedly are those of fairly vaccuous teens ;) ) and the way the perspective of the movie shifts in the second half (and I'll say nothing further so as not to give the game away) is quite clever.

All in all, a film well worth checking out, although it's one of those hat you'll either love or hate.

Sorry to be the sole voice of dissention (so far) but I found The Hole to be a very tedious and boring movie. I loved Thora Birch in American Beauty, and although I applaud her for following her muse out of the type-casting trap that could have ensued, I think she made a huge mistake with this movie. The characters were so unlikeable that I just didn't give a shit what happened to them (not always a problem but in this case I thought it was a biggie). Sometimes the juxtaposition of viewpoints in a movie can work but due to none of the characters being in any way sympathetic it just didn't work. There was no-one with whom to feel even a smidgin of empathy so I just found myself shrugging as their situation worsened. I seem to remember also thinking at the time (I saw it a while ago and my memory ain't what it used to be...forgive me) that the characters motivations were somewhat suspect. I'd give it about 4 out of 10 at a push (and most of the score is due to the soundtrack...it was very good).

in the UK it made £2,229,975 ... can anyone tell me whats that equal to in US dollars?

Was released in France,Italy & Spain in theaters as well....is this out on video in US?

The Hole is not available in America. Dimension Films(groan)bought the rights to distribute it and it was said to be in limbo from theatrical release or video distribution. But I'm guessing it will probably never will come out or it'll take a very long time before it does.

This movie sucked. It started out fine, but ended badly. And I like Thora Birch and Desmond Harrington. However, the conclusion sucked too much.

its been in Canada for a while now.. as I said, I got my copy in Blockbuster..

I'm in canada and I picked it up at a buy/sell shop for like 15 bucks. I really liked it, as others stated there are some plot holes and it does get a *tad* confusing at a few parts but overall I really liked it. After watching the trailer on the DVD I thought it would (Like arrows review stated) it would just be another slasher, but Its far from it.
