There are too many horror movie promo art with the cast's headshots inside the killer's weapon of choice (knife, sickle, whatever).

Actually that looks pretty cool. The monster is decent looking too. I laughed at the acting in the trailer but it looks fun enough. I thought it was amusing that they pretty much showed all the teens in the trailers get killed. Well there goes any element of surprise (Not that there really was any). Every one of them spit blood out of thier mouth when they got killed. I think this is a tad overused, but what do I know? heh.
Oh and there is another pic for the box shot, similar to the one above but its changed a bit, I think its a tad better because the monster isn't as clearly shown. Also, I agree that the "teen-face-in-the-murder-weapon" is cheese to the limit!

glad to see im not the only one who thinks the darkwalker creature looks fucking awesome...even if he was in a big budgeted film i'd still like him,not cheesy at all if you ask me...and yes the teen faces on the box even though we don't know them HAS been used alot but what do you expect in this day and age?Originality?Thats asking too much...

Ah, yet another Danny Draven production. I rather likie his directing (even if his films are not fairing well with me) but this one looks darn fun. When does it come out?

Wow that actually looks a little better than most Full Moon covers.
There came a point when Full moons covers were just to cheesy.
And that monster looks cool, kind of like the creature in Swamp Thing.
Thanx for the heads up Cory I didnt know this one existed!

Damn, it's not on Netflix! Must I resort to fucking Blockbuster? I'll wait a tad longer to see if it crops up online around the 22nd. There has to be something to that date.

I actually saw this finally.
Darkwalker (2003)- 7/10
Best Shadow Entertainment release (under that name) I have seen yet. There is copious amounts of gore, a cool villain, and a decent pace.
Fact is that, it is another slasher. but the quality and story are better and the acting is your usual low grade b-movie variety.
Amusingly, Darkwalker actually gets rouged up a bit... not like Jason having a building dropped on him or some nonsense but he can be overtaken by viscous red neck cops for a few seconds. It was a nice touch.
The directing is superb and the plot is well laid with all of the kills so that there is not a stretch of plot nor of random kills.
All in all, one of the best slashers in a VERY LONG TIME!
