Starring Keanu Reeves, Matthew McConaughey, Vincent D'Onofrio, Tilda Swinton Elijah Woods
Drama/comedy

A nervous teen with a major thumb-sucking problem seeks help from an orthodontist (Keanu Reeves) and a high-school debate coach (Matthew McConaughey) in Thumbsucker, based on a novel by Walter Kim and adapted and directed by first-timer Mike Mills

This movie will be filming in my local area for 7 weeks Starting July 9th i believe. It's more of an independant film. Newcomer Director, but it's an adaptations of a good novel suposidly.

I'm going to try my best and get some exclusive shots specifically for JOBLO.COM. Maybe i can get some cool shots, maybe not, we'll see. But it's cool having these big names in a town that i thought would never have a movie filmed in, (Beaverton, OR)

I'll give updates every once in a while if something cool comes up!

I like the actors but that sounds like the dumbest plot/theme for a movie...

Well atleast its original, that is untill Thumbsucker 2: Back in the Habit.

Haha, i could totally see that too. I think there's more to the plot though, i thnik they're hiding more, idk. Sounds like that fight club type of movie, They made it out to be just about a couple dudes that fight all the time. When it turned out to be this depressing, self serving, not the contents of your wallet movie which totally blew me away. I doubt this will have the same affect, but... you never know.

I'm excited for Thumbsucker, but not because of Keanu Reeves or Matthew McConaughey, but Elijah Wood. He was a superb child actor and is becoming a wonderful adult actor. I look forward to seeing him in this and Eternal Sunshine..

darkface, I can't wait to see your photos and updates! :)

Some updates to give, they've been filming for a while now, but the story is that Matthew Mcconaughey will not be in the movie anymore, but still good news is, Vince Vaghn, the dude from Old School and other cool movies will take his place. And also Elijah Woods could not play this role due to LOTR re-shoots, and they figured he might of been too old for the pic neways, the character is 17, i still think he could have pulled it off, but ah- they got someone from New York.

That's all for now. More updates later possibly.
