About a week ago I bought FoW new record "Welcome Interstate Managers" and then last Thursday they opened for Wilco at Summerfest. I can't get this thing out of my CD player. Like their earlier stuff, it is nothing revolutionary but does amount to a very fun, catchy summer album. Anyone else like these guys?

Terrible album. Worst, most trite lyrics of the year so far. They have one good song on it -- Valley Winter Song or whatever that's called.

'I Want An Alien For Christmas' is a pretty catchy tune. Don't know if it's on that album or not, but check it out if you can.

I guess I don't know what you were expecting lyrically. I like the fact that they write fun lyrics about everyday things. While you call the lyrics "trite", I would say the are humorous yet clever.

It wasn't suppose to mean anything. Just relax Johnny! I'll fix the "nonsense" if that makes you feel better.

I've read a whole bunch of threads to which you have contributed and a fair number of your replies have been needlessly caustic. I would suggest that you reel that in a little as it could become a little tiresome in time. Just some friendly advice that you can choose to heed or ignore. :D

I was joking, duder. I am well aware of my budding reputation as an intolerant music snob and was making fun of it.
