It's the Fountains of Wayne and it's terrible.

The real pop anthem of the summer is The New Pornographers' "The Laws Have Changed".

Personally, I see the anthem of the Summer being Blueside by Rooney...For some reason, that song feels like Summer.

How come I haven't heard of ANY of these three songs that you guys think will be the "pop anthem of the summer?" ;)

This "Stacey's Mom" song sounds neat. It could be good. I'd have to hear it first.

However, I think my pop song of the summer is "Not Gonna Get Us" by TATU. Probably because I don't really listen to much pop, and most of the stuff on the pop stations and MTV suck.

I do really like that song that was in Two Weeks Notice though. I always forget the fucking name though. I hear it on the radio all the time. Of course, the station I listen to plays mostly 80's music and some of today's stuff. Nothing like Britney, Nelly, 50 Cent, Christina, Justin Timberlake, etc... It's a breath of fresh air! But if anyone does know the song I'm talking about, please feel free to let me know. I need to write it down because I keep forgetting what it is.

I'm not against it, but I usually only download songs I love or like, and at the time I hadn't even heard this one. However, today I saw the music video on TV and it was actually a pretty neat video and not a bad song. It's kind of funny. But I think the video made the song better. If I would have just "heard" the song and not watched the video, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much.

Man I love this song! I heard it on the radio by accident in the beginning of July and I was immediately hooked. Kind of sounds like a throwback to 80s Pop. I haven't seen the music video yet but have listened to the song countless times.
