what do you all think of the Mad Max flicks?
was anyone else pissed off that the 3rd was too hollywoody and had less balls to the wall violence?
i personally think Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is the best in the series
and i hope to god the 4th one Mad Max: Fury Road gets back to its old roots :D
wot does everyone else think?

i found Beyond Thunderdome too hollywoody compared to the rest it was soooo watered down, no gore and hardly any badass violence in it and another thing that pissed me off was that Max wasn't a tough as nails badass in this movie like he was in the rest where he didn't give a fuck about anything....
Mad Max = Great
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior = Excellento!!!
Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome = Disappointing but still an entertaining entry in the series
fingers crossed for Mad Max: Fury Road

yeah i really like the 1st but the 2nd is better in terms of action...
yeah yeah i know Mad Max has the van being hit at the beginnin which was super cool but Mad Max 2 was like the terminator 2 of the series...if you know what i mean....it surpasses the original

True, but the other reasons why I liked the first was like it needed very little words to convey emotions and believe it or not, those cars and bikes really were travelling at those breakneck speeds. Not a smidge of CGI there, just stuntpeople with guts of steel.

Mad Max is one of my favourite movies, it's like Star wars to me and "Fury Road" no matter how good or bad it is, is a movie that worths waiting for.
Mad MAx--I wouldn't say i loved it, though It was good.
Road Warrior was awesome, violent, funny, furious and fast and-- unlike these movies with cars and stunts and shit lately-- GREAT. I also loved the whole storyline, after a nuclear holocaust, people are still fighting each other!
Beyond thunderdome, was better than Mad Max, a little worse than Road Warrior and unique--it had a gripping storyline and many memorable characters, that last part is propably the reason for my liking.
I love the series and hope for the best!

I love the first 2 films on the same level, and think they're both excellent. Nothing like watching the first film on DVD and seeing the stunt guy getting yanked backwards by a very visible wire :D
The third one wasn't really terrible, and has some definately memorable moments, like the thunderdome, etc., but still not as good as the first two.
