Yo schomes, the inspiration for this thread? You might ask (well, probably not but it doesn't hurt to assume) I had a pretty weird and frightful nightmare just last night really, at the time it was pretty frightful and forehead-sweating but when I woke up it was nothing to cry to mummy about. It was pretty much like a Childs Play nightmare, a murderous doll trying to hack and slash at me in nearly and almost in every direction it could get at me. The doll is still in my memory (you don't forget a thing like that): The doll had curly blonde hair and was wearing the regular dress they usually wear except it was yellow and had purple and blue flowery patterns on it. It had blue eyes and that cute little smile that sends chills up my spine (I hate staring blankly dolls). Also, to boot it had the butchers knife.
Chuffing thing, it was intense at the time but when I woke up and thought about it it was like, wow it doesn't seem all that bad now.

Have any of you schomes had a nightmare that was forehead-sweating at the time and had no meaning what so ever the next day?

Never. You're going to think this is wierd, but every time I start to have one of those type dreams it always ends in one of two ways: Either I turn into some sort of werewolf type monster and slaughter whatever's threatening me in such a way that even Jason Voorhees would upchuck upon seeing it.Or some great beast steps in and kills my attacker for me.

I've had a couple of werid nightmares. Nothing I'd like to talk about here, though.

Your comment using the word "wierd" makes me even more curious to hear these dreams of yours JadedGamer.

Luke - yowl, that does sound like a dream that I wouldn't particularly enjoy having. A creepy image for sure.

Me? Nope. I dream wierd and messed up things with a bizarre psychological twist - most likely hinting I am simply one disturbed individual - however, no nightmares in the true sense of the word.

Nope, most of my nightmares are just normal every day stuff that scares me. I'm not all that strange in the head. BTW: Yes Luke, this thread has been made millions of times, but it's about time we had a new one!

I have this in a most extreme manner. I will have dreams in which something mundane or just plain silly is happening and will terrify me for anyway. For instance I can recall a dream in which a basket of food was on the kitchen table and an apple in it was twitching a little which scared the shit out of me. There are others where it'll be something like a butterfly trying to get in through the window, a phone ringing that I can't see, or nothing even slightly out of the ordinary at all - a perfectly normal, nice day at home and I will burst awake with my heart racing in a cold sweat, sometimes leaping out of bed and almost running down the hall before I realized that nothing scary actually happened at all.

When I actually do have a weird, horrific nightmare, I'm never scared and write them down as possible stories/artwork for the future. My favorite one involved a cloth guy with an eye for a face pushing a shopping cart around and threating to give me my "FIRST....HIDEOUS....EEEYYYYYEEEE!" with some sort of beam from his palm.
