Yeah! Billy Idol is definitely one of the best things to come out of the 80's. (And a lot of good things came out of the 80's). And yeah, if I had the Billy Idol and Samatha Fox greatest hits cd's I could probably survive on nothing else for a good month.
My personal favorites:
1. Hot in the City
2. Blue Highway (Why was this not on the greatest hits? The one glaring omission. )
3. Eyes Without a Face
4. Shock to the System
5. Rebel Yell
If you like Idol then you should also check out the J. Geils Band, they aren't super similar or anything, but everyone I know who likes Idol enjoys Geils too. Just a casual connection I guess. :D

Back in the early 80's Billy Idol was sort of my idol, I even chopped my hair off so I could look like the rebel yeller himself. When I feel like having a blast from the past sort of time, I put on my Idol albums, my fave songs include:
Hot in the City
Fatal Charm
White Wedding
Eyes Without a Face
To Be a Lover
All Summer Single
Shooting Stars
It's So Cruel
Think I'll put on some Billy Idol right now.

Glad you like them, Stevereno. The songs are a little slower paced, but they show Billy had some versatility. He actually had a very good voice, and I enjoy the lyrics...he paints a picture with them.
I really like Steve Steven's guitar playing also. He blended with Billy very well.

Steve Stevens is underappreciated in this day and age...the man has talent, his band Atomic Playboys allowed him to show just how good he was while in the spotlight...
As far as Billy's tunes go I've always been hooked on White Wedding and the theme from Speed.

Hey cool, I'm glad there are some Idol fans in here. Hey have any of you heard the VH1 Storytellers album? Its a really good live album IMO. The versions of Rock the Cradle of Love and especially Flesh for Fantasy are much better than the studio versions. Steve Stevens guitar playing kicks major ass also. :D

I saw it on MuchMoreMusic. I was mad that he didn't play "EYES WITHOUT A FACE".
STEVE STEVENS has the best name in the world.

Steve Stevens is criminally underrated...he even brought life to a Micheal Jackson song ("Dirty Diana")
I'm going to see Billy Idol next month. He's playing the beach club at Mandalay Bay...nothing like chilling out on a man-made beaching drinking beers listening to Billy Idol.....

I'M FINALLY SEEING BILLY IDOL

He is playing toronto on September 1 2003. I haven't got tickets yet, but I will on tuesday. I'm going with a friend of mine who lives downtown so I can crash there after the show. I swear, if I could shit eggrolls I would.
