Rabid is a good movie. The start is a little slow but then it picks up after the first 10 minutes. The Brood I didn't find that great of a film. I got bored about halfway through the movie. Maybe it was just the copy I had but it was pretty dark. Both are worth the viewing but I thought Rabid was better.

The Brood is a brilliant film by Cronenberg and should be seen by all horror movie enthusiasts. It's sick, twisted, gory, strange and creepy.

I've yet to see Rabid, Cronenberg's ode to vaginal armpits, but you'll definitely enjoy The Brood. Superlative acting, a unique premise, and a visceral finale.

I've never seen either of this flicks but being a big Cronenberg fan that's a huuge sin. So I think I've just been inspired to hunt them out.

Damn, I'm looking for Brood for a while now. I'm a big Cronenberg fan and I loved Rabid. It's... so Cronenberg

I, for one, didn't like the Brood. I didn't think it was gory at all (not that that was what I was juding it on) and was extremely boring (slow even for Cronenberg whom I AM a big fan of)... I thought this was one of his weakest efforts and is only of rental or TV quality.

THE BROOD isn't gory, but it's one of my favourite horror movies. It genuinely scared me. And it's the kind of story that can give the viewer an intellectual thrill that many horror films do not.
I would also recommend SHIVERS.

Again Idelwild I really really like this great band of Scotland, I own The Remote Part and 100 Broken Windows and now I am listening Century After Century.

Otherwise I saw Rabid 2 years ago and it was pretty good, it is a kind of zombie flick, I was a bit sad for the infested girl at the end.

Rabid is one of Cronenberg's best. See it. The Brood is probably the worst of the early Cronenberg flicks, but still worth seeing.
