I have to say I think this guy is super super talented, as both a writer, and actor and a director. It seems almost every movie he is in is enhanced by his prescence, and from interviews and commentary tracks he seems like a really cool down to earth guy. I'm looking forward to seeing him in The Big Empty(bad ass poster for it) and Elf looks like a decent family holiday film.
So....

Big YAY.

Anyone elses thoughts on the guy?

I lke Favreau

He was decent in Friends and The Soprano's and really understated in Made. He also directed that really well.

Yay

I've always liked Favreau.

Especially in Very Bad Things. Which is better known as Cameron Diaz's Home Movies.

Meh. I haven't seen much from him yet, but I'm neither hateful nor especially excited about him.

Jon Favreau is a superior talent on the indie movie scene. I love the story of how he made "Swingers" on a shoe-string budget, using the actors' apartments and nearby cafes for location shoots, basically begging, borrowing or stealing anything he could to get his pet project made.

He's an extremely talented actor and resourceful director with a sharp sense of humour. I can't wait for "Elf" to be released down here.

Great big gobs of YAY!! from me.
