I thought of this thread and it might be fun.

You know you are addicted to horror movies and Arrow in the head when...

You spit out lines of horror movies to the blank and everyone looks at you odd.
Youget pissed when there's no traffic in the boards
You get more pissed if no one answered to your thread
You hate newbie wiseasses
Your screenname came from a real life nickname
You doodle scenes od your favorite horror movies
OR you even make small models of your favorite movie scenes

Any similarities to real life are pure coincidences.

Good call, X-nightcrawler on the "you get pissed when no one answers to your thread" point. I write out these really funny "Horror Talk" skits with our favorite horror icons and very few schmoes seem to use the time to read them and respond. But, I know that I definately have you, X-Nightcrawler, as a reader of them.

To add one...

-you know you're addicted to Arrow in The Head's horror site, when you check the forums frequently to check for new threads.

You know your addicted to Arrow in the Head when...You start stalking him at his home, at the bar, at the store, and when he sleeps.

What was that about? Nice to know that you enjoy them too, Lindsey, but I only pointed out X-Nightcrawler, because of the people responding on this thread, I definately knew that X-Nightcrawler was/is one of them who reads and responded to my skits. I'm also not trying to bash you, so don't take it the wrong way.

I do all these :D Doesn't everyone? :(

Anyway....

You know you're addicted to horror movies and Arrow in the head when

* Every new movie you see makes you instantly think of if it's been mentioned on these boards, and, you can't wait to tell everyone else what you thought of this movie

* Every horror related incident, story, or strange thing (like me hearing the sales clerk at Walmart do evil dead impressions) has to be posted here first thing

* You are in a conversation with non-horror fans in real life and think of something about the chat with this person that reminded you of a schmoe story from on here. And you begin the sentence by, Well on my horror group....

* You slowly begin seeing horror fans as a new breed, and now everyone is either a horror - fan or a non-horror lover

And yes, I actually do all of these :D

I do nearly all of the above... except for um, stalking... arrow. Lindsey, might wanna get that checked out. :p
Ok, you know you're addicted to horror movies and Arrow in the head when....

*You think of a review in your head so you can go to the Horror Review section and post a review.
*When you think of what new fav. horror movie yours is and think about putting it in your tag or avatar.
*When you love to call everyone a "fellow Schmoe" and you consider everyone a friend.
*When people you don't even know just talk to you about horror and you find it amusing.

You know you're addicted to horror movies and Arrow In The Head when...you'd rather spend time with the characters from said horror movies and your fellow Schmoes than the people in your real life!

You know you're addicted when
1. you see a new movie you have to run and see what Arrow and the schmoes thought of it.
2.
You don't want to "talk" to any of your so-called real friends online, but you will spend hours on the forums with the schmoes.

You know you're addicted when:

-You want Arrow's opinion before you see or buy any horror movie.

-You want everyone's opinion on the board before you see or buy any movie.

- You go through women like underwear (have them one day, get a new pair the next).

You know what, I'm going to go on record here and say I think this is a bit out of line. I realize there are probably alot here who will not agree, but quite frankly, I think that there should be someone who defends the "infant" or "newbie" schmoes.

1. Everyone here (with the exception of JoBlo, more than likely) has been an new member at one point. In the past 6 months, I can count on one hand the number of new members who have come on board and been either a) ignorant or b) "wiseasses, and to the mods credit, many of the ignorant ones have been banned, or have learned their lessons The basic rules of the forum dictate that everyone must respect their fellow schmoe. The quote above shows a severe lack of respect.

2. If these forums were to not include new folks, there would be no growth, and in some cases, the converstions would really die out. Alot of people come to these boards not to chat, but to ask questions, and get feedback on horror movies they may want to see. A comment like the one above alienates a large percentage of Arrow and JoBlo's community.

3. What exactly do you think constitutes a "newbie"? Are you judging quality or quantity of posts? Or do you base this sweeping generalization on how long the shmoe has been registered? Alot of folks dont have the time to make 1000 posts in a couple of months, like say NightcrawlerX (just an example, not a shot). I myself have been here for just over 6 months, but I dont have a really big post count. does that make me a newbie for not posting more?

I realize alot of the above is going to be deemed as argumentative by most, but the main reason I posted this was not because of NightcrawlerX's comment, but by the fact that almost everyone that has replied so far has agreed with him.

Sorry for the long post, but I have been keeping an eye on this thread for since yesterday, and it's been bugging me. I'm not trying to be a dickhead, but I just think it is a good idea to think aabout some things that get said offhand. I am sure no one meant any offence, and neither do I.

BTW, how exactly does hating newbie wiseasses constitute being addicted to horror? the rest I can understand (I do alot of them myself), but this one baffles me.

*rolls eyes* Oh god...

I mean like newbie schmoes that come to dick around and get banned like in their 20th post. Not newbies in general. I really hate those and I disagree that there wouldn't be any growth. I see your point though...

Regarding Penuts Post:

I do that review thing, which now because of this board made me start wanting to review my whole collection :p I am now in the process.
Everytime I'm ANYWHERE and see anything funny or interesting in movies on the internet I think of using it for the avatar.
I consider everyone here a friend, and since writing reviews now to share with others besides arrow in the head, I have to always stop myself from writing, "Fellow schmoes.."

Regarding Spacemonkeys post:

I only visit the horror section, rarely the regular movie section. And as for visiting the page adding to money woes, yes - my addiction keeps growing and growing for new dvds and vhs and soon even more from visiting these pages :)

Regarding gorysnoopys post:

LOL Damn I do these too. Or if I see a not mentioned horror movie , I have to rush and see why it wasn't mentioned either. And sometimes going through messages and posting takes a few hours for me. :p

Geez I didnt realize how obsessed I was. What fun :p

Uncanny. I do this, like, all the time.
All of a sudden I'm rambling on about the director and the actors and whatnot in the EXACT same order that I write it (in my reviews).

This site will be the downfall of us all.
