DawnOfTheDead

Did anyone else pick up how much 28 DAYS LATER took after DAY and DAWN OF THE DEAD? DAY in particular.
Certain scenes seemed to be modeled directly after scenes from the two films.
SPOILERS AHEAD, IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FLICK, I WOULDN'T RECCOMEND READING ANY FURTHER!
Examples:
When the crew of people stop to gas up their trucks, the lead character goes into the abandoned gas station. A child zombie attacks him and he kills it. Much like the scene in DAWN where the crew stops to gas up their helecopter, Peter goes to scope out the abandoned gas station, a child zombie attacks him, and he kills it.
Towards the end, we are broken into two sides- Military (bad) and Civillians (good), Much like DAY. And one civilian breaks the barricade, letting all the zombies in, as Miguel did in DAY. And in the climax, our head military villain is being chased by the main character, screaming "C'MON!!! C'MOOOOONN!!!", just like Rhodes running from Bub in DAY.
Also, the fact that the military has a zombie chained up for studying is most definitely influenced by DAY.
I'm not bashing the flick; I thought it was pretty damned cool (I dunno about the ending, though). This just stuck out at me.
