Check out this review by DVDFile for House Of 1000 Corpses (http://www.dvdfile.com/software/review/dvd-video_6/houseof1000corpses.html). I know that DVDFile has a great sense of what makes a good DVD, but from this review, the DVD wasn't really worth the wait. I know that Rob stated in earlier interviews that he was happy with the theatrical cut of the movie, but jeez, I wish that this DVD had the uncut version!

It doesn't strike me as though they're saying it's a dissapointment. It received an above average rating. It's just not full-blown all-out insanely packed with extras. And it's better then nothing for everyone who missed out on the oportunity to see it in theatres.

True, but maybe I just had high expectations for the DVD. I mean, it's not like I wanted extras of Daredevil proportions, but I still would've liked to have the uncut version, as would Arrow I'm sure.

That`s because a few months later they`ll release a "Super Special Edition" DVD, and you`ll have to buy the movie AGAIN to get the cool extras.
Just watch.
Damn it pisses me off when they do that.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I feel better now.
The DVD is supposed to be great actually I just really wanted the uncut version. The R-Rated version is still absolutely fantastic but I wanted to see Rob's original version. I'll be getting both because they shot footage just for this DVD release for the menus.

Yeah, I read the other day, that Rob had stated somewhere how he knows they are going to release some better version of the movie afterwards and he didn`t like it, but he tried to make this edition as good as he could (the menus)

Meh, knowing that Rob didn't like the idea of releasing the cut film like this and then the uncut a few months later kinda makes me feel better about this situation, since his goal in the first place was to cater to those hardcore horror fans of yesteryear. I appreciate that, although I don't think most critics got that. What do you guys think?

I just saw a presentation by Rob Zombie today and he said it is filled to the brim with special features, including looong interactive menus shot specifically for the dvd.
