I have yet to see a Fulci film at any of the major video distributors, except for one copy of Zombie which was in my local Hollywood video store (thank Christ!).
I have read so much about The Beyond and House by The Cemetary that I'm dying to see both. Can anyone here tell me where most of you found your copies? Did you have to buy them or were you able to rent?
I guess I'm just hoping SOMEPLACE has these two to rent, but if I have to, I'll buy them I guess.
Thanks in advance for any insights you can give me.

I've never seen either The Beyond or House by the Cemetary to rent. I bought my copies at Best Buy. That may be your best bet.

I don't know about rentals because I'm more of a buyer. There's a lot of Fulci and other european directors available at Movie Play and Sam Goody. Some are even available under $10. Beware, some are "trimmed" more than editted, meaning that the plot suffers with holes that cause it to not make sense. I'm curious why they are cut this way, because it isn't gore they are taking out: it is actual plot elements. Gore is great, but a story to go along with it is much more engaging.

Yeah, I've never seen them in a rental store either - you may have to but them. Which isn't a bad thing! :D
Both of those movies are great, gorey, atmospheric examples of Fulci's genius. And both are available as a double dvd from Anchor Bay. Both are UN-CUT & UN-EDITED.
I got my copy from Deep Discount DVD for only $24.00, no tax or shipping! Go here to find it:
Deep Discount DVD (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com)
Do a search on Fulci & click on "Search by Director". (Their search engine isn't the best)
Good luck!!

Thanks everyone!! Really appreciate the great tips!
Well, I went to Best Buys, and while I was surprised at some titles that they DID have there (some cool movies I'd never expect to find) they didn't have any of Fulci's except Zombie.
BUT(!!) I did go next door to Media Play and by God if they didn't have both The Beyond, which I bought, and City of the Living Dead, which I held off on because it was $28.00.
The Beyond was the newest Anchor Bay version with all of the dvd extras. I watched it last night and really enjoyed it.
I'll wait and get COLD later on. I wonder why Beyond was $17 and COLD was almost $30????????
Anyways, thanks again everyone!!

You also have a good chance of finding them onBorders or Suncoast if you have any of those stores in a mall near you, they allways have all of fulcis stuff, its were I have bought my fulci movies. I got Anchor Bays The Beyond, Zombie and House by the Cemetary. Up next is City of the Living Dead, wich is also priced at 19.99.
They have most of fulcis films for 19.99! Wich is cheaper then what your getting them for.

Oh very cool Spacemonkey!! Thanks for the tip.
I'll definately slide by Suncoast at the local mall here and check out their Fulci collection.
I want to buy COLD but $28 is too much. I'll bet Suncoast will have it much cheaper.
Thanks again!
