Just saw this one on DVD and I got to say I was a little disappointed. It could have been better. It seems like they ripped off a lot of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There's a crazy old man and his backwards son in the meat business, killing teens (gee, what movie does that remind you of). On the plus side, the DVD is loaded, with commentary, video footage of "Buddy" going to the whitehouse and Georgetown University to sign autographs, Buddy intruding in movie theaters playing the movie (about an hour total of footage I think), 7 trailers, stills, interview with the director, picture gallery, and if you have a DVD-ROM, comes complete with the actual screenplay, more photos and promotional pictures, a 16-page working budget form for the movie and the original 34-page distribution contract for the movie's release

A few things I noticed and found out....
1. The guy who owns the slaughterhouse has the last name of "Bacon" (intentional? probably)
2. One of the cops' name was Dave Thomas (intentional? Because Dave Thomas of course was the founder of Wendys)
3. And this I looked up: The "Final Girl" is named Lizzy Borden after the famous mass murderess.

I heard of this a long time ago and I wondered if it was any good. Sounds like it wouldn't be a bad choice for a weekend rental.

This movie is good for a weekend rental or an anytime rental. I didn't think it ripped off TCM but the two are very similar in storyline. Minus the chainsaw. The ending I thought really sucked but other than that I thought it was an okay movie.

I love this piece of b-movie trash. It's so bad and stupid and retarded, I just cant hate it. Only Slaughter High is better, for the movies that have Slaughter in the title.

Really great trailers but I am sorry to say I cannot stand this film. I thought "Buddy" was disgusting to a point where I just didn't want to watch him anymore. The old guy's character got on my nerves. The teens couldn't really act, and even if they could they just didn't come across as likeable. The whole situation with the losing of the slaughterhouse and the police just didn't add up. The deaths weren't enjoyable - the only thing I did care for was when they first went into the house that night to scare eachother - some of those scenes were actually pretty frightening... or getting there.

The very ending I did like - thought it was made sense with this otherwise...er, unlikeable movie.

This film is really really terrible.

And not only does it rip off Texas Chainsaw Massacre thematically big time, it even rips off a great deal stylistically as well. These people should be arrested for this drivel.

But I suppose if you like the abomination of film that is 'Slaughter High' than you would dig this.

I rented this a long time ago with some friends - it was so bad we didn`t even make it to the end.
