Refused: The Shape of Punk to Come (1998) [Epitaph]
Not punk. No, not what you think. Vastly deeper and more challenging, without sacrificing any of the brimstone and energy present in punk, the Refused produce a masterpiece. The album that represents what punk should have evolved into by 1998, had every band since 1975 pushed the boundaries and smashed the assumptions of the genre. In that way, it's almost like music from an alternate universe.
Buy it. Download it. Listen to it.
