I just watched this film and even though I've seen it before I just realized how much I enjoyed it....It's suspenceful, bloody, good acting, good atmosphere, and great story...tying dracula in with the bible was good and I enjoyed it alot. Viatimin C should of kept her clothes on though she had no boobs! I felt like I was watching two guys fuck...now if another pop princess wants to get in a horror movie and show her goods like Britney or something, then I would be satisfied....I did like this movie though, it had its flaws and felt a little slow at times, but still a good horror flick, I can't remember Dracula-the 1990 version and I've never seen the oldies so maybe thats what made alot of horror fans hate this film, maybe it was a disgraise compared to those, but I put it up there with John Carpenter's vampires, and Lost Boys as a fun vampire flick, it's not as good as Interview with a Vampire, but still holds it's own...what did you guys and gals think of this movie?

It was okay, but I'm more of an old school Hammer fan when it comes to vampires. To me Drac 2000 was highly "Screamified" and was entertaining more for the visuals than for any scariness. The biggest plus, and a great surprise for me since I usually see stuff like this coming and I didn't this time, was, SPOILER....

The Judas Iscariot revelation at the end. I liked that due to its originality.

I completely agree! I'd much rather sit down and watch Nosferatu or even Bram Stoker's Dracula for that matter. I will admit though I did enjoy seeing the decent amount of blood that was in Dracula 2000. I'd watch it again....6.5/10

This movie was atrocious. Why do people keep saying "good acting" when Dracula was like 5'6" and he had a lisp? How can someone as tall as me with a lisp be frightening. Poor, poor, Christopher Plummer. I had to watch The Insider and 12 Monkeys so I could stop feeling sorry for the guy after this.

I saw this movie at the cinema and was not terribly impressed by it. It seemed to me like they rushed to finish it simply so that they could tag the "2000" onto the end of the title. No suspense or scary moments. Although maybe if I watch it again I might find more to like, since I know what to expect. I recently re-watched Jet Li's The One and had a good time with it, even though I thought it was pure shit the first time I watched it.

In England they changed it to Dracula 2001. It didn't really feel rushed to me. In fact, it felt way too long.

I wanted a lot more from this movie than what I got.

Granted, the ending is clever, but give me some FUN and quality filmmaking leading up to the ending! I hate it when it feels as if the creators go:

Unimaginative Writer #1: "Hey! Wouldn't it be cool if we had a movie where in the very end there's a twist that is clever? <discusses the end to Dracula 2000>"

Unimaginative Writer #2:"Hey woah! That ending is clever! Let's make a movie about it!"

Unimaginative Writer #1:"How should we start it?"

Unimaginative Writer #2:"I don't know. Who cares? Let's just make 1 hour and 30 minutes of filler storytelling just to lead up to this great ending!"

Unimaginative Writer #1:"Sounds GREAT! Let's just start with an opening, and make things up as we go along!"

This was a decent film but could have been a whole lot better IMO!

I enjoyed it . Then again I wasn't expecting to so I was pleasently surprised .
For me Horror Of Dracula with good old Cushing & Lee is the ultimate Dracula film . The Loius Jordan BBC production is pretty damned close as is Jack Palance's movie .
I'm not a fan of Oldmans version but Dracula 2000 was a decent attempt . As I said , I enjoyed it a whole lot more than I was expecting to .

Am I the only other person here who liked this? Maybe it's because I was expecting shit, but I thought this was an awesome take on the old story of Dracula, and

*** SPOILERS ***

I loved the explanation in the end about Dracula. To my knowledge that has never been done before, and it makes perfect sense.

Plus, Monster Magnet's Head's Explode totally kicks ass.
