I haven't posted here in a while (just reading), and I was going to change my name, but no new members can register yet so here I am. Oh well.

Back to the subject, I'm lucky to have friends who also love horror movies, and sometimes we'll get together and spend most of the day watching a series. We've watched the Friday the 13th series, Child's Play, and the Nightmare On Elm Streets. Has anyone else had marathon's like that? It's lots of fun (but can take a while).

Well now that summer's begun we've been pretty bored and want to spend a day watching the Halloween series. I've only seen the first two and last two, so it should be fun. I was wondering if anyone else ever did anything like this and if there are any good recommendations? Just curious. Am I the only one with no life? :D

Whn I was with my ex for Christmas he got me the Alien box set. We had a marathon for that

For my birthday he bought most of the fridays and all the nightmare on elm streets - we had box sets with those too :)

Never had a halloween marathon though.

Halloween marathons are always fun. My other and I usually have a Livind Dead marathon. NOTLD, Day, Dawn, ROTLD, ROTLD2, ROTLD3. Of course we have our Evil Dead mini marathons. ;)

I would suggest skipping Halloween 3.

Yeah, I've heard that before. Initially I was, but I've never seen it before, nor heard it's "catchy" Shamrock song. So if my curiosity can pull us through it, we'll get it (if we can find it). Hopefully it won't scare my friends away though...

I've always wanted to do a marathon but never have (as of yet). A store near here that had a great horror section had a special 2 movies for $5 so me and two friends would go pick one horror movie each, and then watch them all that night. They got tired of watching bad horror movies though, but I didn't so I usually do it alone now.

Halloween Marathons are okay, I suggest seeing part 3 to get a break from Michael Shenanigans though. Plus, the song is awesome.

"SIx More Days Till Halloween, Halloween, Six More Days Till Halloween, Silver Shamrock!"

Bad movie marathons are always the best, I alone petitioned for a Alber Pyun Marathon.

Of course, now my friends are scared of me now...

Well, IMO, the first two and the last two are the only ones worth seeing, well, actually Resurrection wasn't very good. But part 4 is pretty good...tho it's pretty useless to the series since Dimension just left storylines 4-6 in the air! That sucks too!I HAD TO SIT THROUGH PART 5 WASTING AN HOUR AND A HALF OF MY LIFE, WHEN IT DOESN'T EVEN PAY OFF LATER?!FUCK YOU DIMENSION!
However, I really love H20!I just don't like the fact that they made the terrible 3 and 5 and 6. Part 4 was good but also useless. So IMO it should have been Halloween, Halloween2, Halloween H20, Resurrection wasn't terrible like some peope say. It was just okay I guess.

I never had a marathon with friends but every so often I'll have an Evil Dead marathon. Someday when I have a larger collection of dvds I'll have a zombie marathon.
