OK, I am really behind on my movies so I'm going tonight. I will see all of these eventually, but I would like to know which is the best choice. The ones I want to see are, in order...

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
BAD BOYS II
LEGALLY BLONDE 2
TERMINATOR 3, RISE OF THE MACHINES
THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN
HOW TO DEAL

Which is the best choice?

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

That is if you want SMART and ENTERTAINING summer event movies.

I could also easily reccomend LXG, but the other two are much better, as a whole.

Yeah, I was really leaning towards PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN. It looks great and I have wanted to see it since I saw the first trailer. I just haven't had time to go recently.

I can't say enough to push you towards Pirates. It is smart, funny (It's worth the price of admission alone to see Depp as 'Captain' Jack Sparrow), action-packed, strongly romantic, and has the best SFX in a long, long time. It is THE summer movie of 2003.

LXG and T3 are both fun films who never drag like a certain pirate film.

I'd like to hear your opinion on it.

BTW, PotC: TCotBP is not action packed. I was sorely disappointed with the action in that movie.

Did we see the same movie? Pirates of the Caribbean had tons of action from swordfights, to cannon fire, to walking skeletons attacking a boat, it has everything! The best action of the year thus far.

Pirates, without a doubt. It is not only the best movie so far this summer, it is the best movie so far this year, and one of the best of the new decade. An instant clasic in every respect.

But most of it was highly repetitive action. Since most of the pirates couldn't be killed because of the curse, it was mindless in the way the heroes kept having fights with them when it makes no difference in the end

He's probably already left, but I'll vote Pirates of the Caribbean. I wouldn't say it was action-packed, but I didn't think of it as an action film. It's an adventure-comedy.

It was great. Most realistic action movie of the summer.

I have only seen two of those movies listed there so far:

Pirates of the Caribbean: 10/10 Great movie, go see it now! It's funny, witty, and always entertaining. Johnny Depp is excellent.

and

T3: Rise of the Machines: 6/10 Cool, decent movie, just an average summer popcorn explosion (and loud) fest. Good if you don't watch it after watching the original Terminator movies.

Average? so you're basically saying T3 had no story at all? just explosions, etc.. ok...

I guess you need to see T3 again, nothing big, but just pay more attention to story. :)

Have'nt seen Pirates yet but it has to be more entertaining than LXG which was the boringest movie I have seen this year.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: This should be your first choice. Great movie.

TERMINATOR 3, RISE OF THE MACHINES: Close second... You should DEFINITELY see this in theaters

BAD BOYS II: Another goodie, senseless violence. Less plot than the previous two... Go only for explosions.

THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN: AVOID AT ALL COSTS
