Rented this one today, unfortuanately it ended up being an edited down R-Rated version. Dispite this I thought it was a fun little movie that was also pretty funny. Its practically a Whos-Who in horror when it comes to cameos, Clive Barker, Roger Corman, Sam Raimi, and some more. I thought it was amusing when Tom Arnold showed up at the end. Some of the edits for the R-Rated version were so blatant though, when the host (also John C.) says "I think we have enough for one more body(referring to one more story)" All of a sudden it cuts to him saying "AW What a Bunch of Stiffs!" There was definately something in there, as well as in the first story where a car lift crushes the serial killer and the good character says "Die you bastard" it cuts away not even showing anything. Even though it was edited there was some goodies.
Anyone else seen it and care to comment on it?

I saw it a long time ago and liked it a lot. Carpenter's segment ("The Gas Station") is my favourite of the three. I'm pretty sure I saw a European cut so I can't really say whether it was edited or not. Strangely enough, this movie is hard to come by these days. Very few stores carry it. Are you sure Tom Arnold was in it? I have no recollection whatsoever.

Yeah I'm 100% sure. He's right at the end after the last story. And Carpenter did the Hair story too.

Yah, Tom Arnold was one of the morticians who came out at the very end of the movie (along with, I believe, Tobe Hooper).
I just watched this movie a few weeks ago. :)

What the hell is Tom Arnold doing in a John Carpenter movie anyway? Couple of years before Body Bags was released he did a cameo in Freddy's Dead. Do you see a pattern here?:)

I just rented this last weekend, I was pleasantly surprised.:) The "gas station" story was the best in my mind. I could see where they were going with it right from the start, however it didn't make it any less enjoyable.
The "hair" segment was cute, I couldn't figure that one out. Nice twist at the end.
The "eye" segment I just couldn't get interested in. Good premise and story, but it just didn't grab me for some reason.

I saw this when they originally played it as a Showtime original movie. I loved the Gas Station part, very nice indeed, and the hair story was entertaining but not too good. The eye one was a little too much like the typical, "body part implanted in another has strange effects" story so it didn't catch me. But overall, really decent anthology series that could have taken off had they made it a series. But for anthology's nothing beats Creepshow, Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside(tv only) and the original Twilight Zone in my opinion.

I liked it. But i hated the second story, it was unfunny and boring.
The first story was great (by the way the Sam Raimi Cameo was hilarious)
The last story was good too. I know it wasn't very original (but neither was any of the stories ), but for some reason i liked a lot.
