View Full Version : Will "Legally Blonde 2" cross $100 million?

Personally, I don't think it will, at the rate it is going now. It will probably finish with about $90-95 million, around the same vicinity as the original.

What do you other schmoes think?

I don't think it will either. I'd say it could make it to about 95 Million. Sure, it performed below expectations, but it still isn't a bomb and it made more than its budget back. It would be cool if it could make it to 100 Million, but I just don't see it happening.

It won't even make as much as the first one did. I think it will be ending up with $90-95M. Still a very solid hit for Witherspoon considering the medium-sized budget. But I really hoped it would make more.

No. I think it'll finish with 92 million, falling a tiny bit short of the original, but it DID have to deal with a more crowded market.

Yeah but inflation widens the gap. No, it won't make it to $100 million, it'll probably end at 91-94.

True, but, luckily for the film, not greatly so. If Legally Blonde II: Red, White, and Blonde made 95 million or so in, say, 2007, it would be a much larger disappointment for MGM.

It has grossed about 85 Mil at the mo. So I think it has legs to cross the 100 million dollar mark. And have a final B.O gross of 115 mil.

Actually, it has grossed about $83 million so far and it has not displayed legs at the b.o. It will be lucky to get to $100 million. Highly unlikely. $90 million is even pushing it at this point.

The film now has 86 million dollars at the box office and a DVD/VHS release date for November the 11th. The film will probably make it to $88 million but that's about it.

I hope it will make as little as possible. I don`t want any more movies like that to hit the cinemas. Totally tired of them. Not funny, just boring and stupid. Witherspoon is a quite good actress, I can`t understand why she`d star in a movie like that.
