Well, probably not. But still, careful on the steps, Gill, and get better soon! Oh, and get back to doing more good performances like in The House of Mirth, stat!

Gillian Anderson's Slip Up
By Lia Haberman

Believers must wonder: Were unseen forces behind Gillian Anderson's tumble down a flight of stairs that landed her in the hospital Monday, or was it just a case of bad footing?

Conspiracy theories aside, the former X-Files star was taken to London's Cromwell Hospital for X-rays following the early morning accident at her Notting Hill home, which she shares with her fiancé, journalist Julian Ozanne.

Britain's Daily Mirror reported that Anderson, 34, had been rushed to the west London hospital in an ambulance with suspected back and hip injuries. The tabloid also published a photo of the actress as she arrived at the hospital strapped to a stretcher.

But, according to the Illinois-born actress' official Website, she didn't suffer any fractures, sprains or other serious injuries and is already home recovering after submitting to a checkup.

The Emmy winner moved to London in 2002 with her beau and eight-year-old daughter from a former marriage, Piper, to star in the West End play What the Night Is For, which ended its run in February.

Anderson has kept a relatively low profile since ending her nine-year run as straight-laced FBI agent Dana Scully on Chris Carter's long-running sci-fi hit, racking up only one credit, 2000's The House of Mirth.

And to those fans who ask when she'll start working again, Anderson says on her Website, "Keep your knickers on," she deserves a break. But don't count her out just yet. According to Anderson, she will be shooting "one and maybe even two films" by the end of the year, which could include a sequel to 1998's The X-Files feature, reuniting her with costar David Duchovny.

I'd like to wish her a speedy recovery, damn those stairs! Such an unfortunate thing to happen. Also, like everyone else is asking: Where's my X-Files movie sequel? :D

I'm with you! The X-Files 2 I read along time ago was suppose to be filming this summer for a release next summer. But that was along time ago and I haven't heard of anything about it since. What's going on here?!!!

Much as I'd like to see another X-Files movie, I'm surprised it's been greenlighted considering all the strife Duchovny caused in the last days of the TV show, including attempting to sue Chris Carter. Apparently, towards the end the cast and crew weren't too fond of him, either.

Hope Gillian's feeling better soonest and has a speedy recovery. I feel sorry for those people who bought advance tickets to see her star in a play, and will have to watch her understudy instead as she's laid up.

I'd love to see Gillian on the big screen more often and would fully welcome a sequel to X-Files. It would be interesting to see how the events unfold picking up after the season finale.
