The two best friends are head to head! Which one do you think is the better actor?
IMO Matt Damon.

Matt Damon, although I think he's gay. He's still a better actor than Affleck.

Gay?! Hell no! He's hetero all the way. Though he did portray a mental homosexual in the Mr Talented Mr. Ripley very well.

Matt. The only time I've ever really liked Affleck (I always think of the damn AFFLACK!!! Duck when I spell his name) is when he's in a Kevin Smith film. That's when he does his best work, but other then that, I never really find him too enjoyable.

They are both good but Matt Damon is amazing. He really knows how to act. The Rainmaker is one of my favorite movies. The Guy really knows how to act.

I like both of them, but Matt comes out on top. He is the better actor and better looking, doesn't have a big a chin as Affleck. Damon was amazing in Talented Mr Ripley.

matt is the better actor but they're both equally hot in my opinion. though you don't see matt as often as you see ben, which is frankly a shame. matt deserves to be more in the spotlight.

Matt seems a lot less egotistical than Ben. Plus he's waaaay cuter.
So I'm all about the Matt.

I think both are great but I suppose Matt Damon is slightly more talented. And chooses better movies too.

Matt Damon is easily the most talented. Well-deserved Oscar nomination for Good Will Hunting. Affleck's good, but Damon's definitely got him beat.

Damon. Everything from School Ties to The Bourne Identity.

Matt Damon, definitely. He did The Talented Mr. Ripley, Good Will Hunting, School Ties, etc. What has Ben Affleck done besides Good Will Hunting? Changing Lanes, the Sum of all fears, Bounce, and let us not forget...Gigli. Plus, Damon made a wonderful appearance on Will and Grace.
I think they're about equal actors, but Damon just has way better intuition when picking roles.
Anyone who's watched Project Greenlight or any of the KS films' commentaries knows that Affleck would be a lot cooler to have as a friend.

Matt Damon.
Affleck's not bad, he just seems too..I don't know the word. I am starting to not like him because of the whole Jennifer Lopez fiasco. Everything that goes on with those two is pure stupidity.

Damon. Far better actor, hope he continues the Bourne Identity franchise. Affleck, though he's not as good, has some good roles. Hope he continues Daredevil and Paycheck looks promising.

Definately Matt Damon coz in my opinion Ben Affleck hasn't got any charisma.

Ditto.
As bob said, however, in real life, Affleck's probably a much cooler guy.

I think Damon is not only a better actor but as Bob said he also shows a lot better ability to pick the kind of roles he works best in.

Damon outguns Afflect in most departments. Examples:
Best Lead role:
Damon: Good Will Hunting/Talented Mr. Ripley
Afflect: Changing Lanes, Bounce.
Winner IMO: Damon
Best Action role:
Damon: The Bourne Identity (7/10)
Afflect: Reindeer Games (4/10, at least better than Daredevil)
Winner: Damon
Although Afflect seems like the cooler guy to hang out with though
No offense to Mr. J-Ho, but Matt Damon seems to pick better roles, has a wider range, and in general is a better actor in everything he does.

Damon, definately Damon, Affleck just....annoys me for some reason. Must be the constant smug expression on his face
Definately think Damon's the better actor, Affleck has made too many movies that have annoyed me...bounce, reindeer games, forces of nature, the bomb he made with J-ho....

Matt Damon has The Talented Mr Ripley, Good Will Hunting, Saving Private Ryan, The Rainmaker, Rounders, Dogma, Ocean's Eleven, The Bourne Identity... In which he has done good to excellent performances.
Ben has been good in GWH and Kevin Smith's movies, and excellent in Changing Lanes. In his other movies he sucks.
Ergo, Matt Damon is better.

I'll be the first to say it, but neither "floats my boat". They both are incredibly bland in their acting without any real stand-out work done so far in their careers imo.

Ben, definitely. He just has the better films.

Matt Damon.
He just comes off as more easy going and strives for the better roles and movies.
