Ending of Frailty

Could someone please explain the ending of Frailty to me?? I got a bit lost.. I'm not good with those kinds of things

the guy who went to the cop to tell him about the gods hand killings was really the little boy in the family that believed his father, his brother (who killed himself) was the older brother who didnt believe his father.

it turned out that the sheriff he went to see was on the list god had given him, so he killed him

Yeah the ending is kinda unexpected. Cool though.

Actually, the brother who didn't believe his father didn't kill himself if memory serves. He later in life goes crazy and becomes a serial killer. Then his brother kills him before he goes to the sheriff. The not-god's-hands serial killer brother (this would be so much easier if I could remember names) I think gets all the killings attributed to him and it turns out the God's Hands Serial Killer is also a police officer. I think that's right.

I don't see how anyone cannot understand the ending. It's rather simple if you think about it. Just re-watch the movie.
