This is from DVD File:
Mile high club - 12:01am
Call it the Oscar curse. Once "It Girl" Gwenyth Paltrow won a Best Actress honor for Shakespeare in Love in 1999, and already she's being labeled "box office poison." Ouch! Guess the curse continued with last spring's misfire View from the Top, which sat on the shelf for two years and then...no one cared. Not even the presence of Mike Myers could help this one at the box office, but decide for yourself on September 9th when Buena Vista Home Entertainment gives this one the 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen treatment, complete with a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track and two featurettes, "The Making of View from the Top" and "A History of the Flight Attendant" (no joke), plus a music sampler and the trailer. Retail is $29.95.
I never saw this in theaters (which is because it didn't look good enough for me to actually go see in theaters), but it looks decent and I will rent it for sure... I find it funny how on the cover they have to name two much bigger hits to try and get people to see it. It says on the cover "In the hilarious style of Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama." I guess do whatever ya gotta do to sell it ;).
It's a tad funny how this airline comedy, one that was delayed due to Sept. 11th, is being released on video and DVD Sept. 9th, two days before the 2 year anniversary of Sept. 11th... Just something I noticed ;).
