A Nightmare on Elm Street Prequel

I don't think a Elm Street prequel will be necessary. On the other hand, I'd like to see the Freddy vs Jason franchise continue.

I don't want them to stop making sequels and prequels altogether; indeed, there are some I'd love to see like Shrek 2 and Toy Story 3 and the like. But I sure do wish they'd make less...

Both are bad ideas, as Robert Englund is now aging too visibly to continue playing Freddy Krueger for long. I think that Freddy vs. Jason should signal the permanent retirement of the character. On the other hand, at least a few more films can be made about Jason, since Kane Hodder is still in great shape, and his real face is never seen anyways. And they can always find some other large, bulky stuntman to play him if needed.
