Haven`t seen any of them, but for what I`ve just read, I`ll keep as far away from "Traces of Death" as I can. Yeah, I like horror and violence in movies, but I`m still a horror fan, not a pervert.
Sorry for that, but I have strong feelings towards those "real life" things and believ that you can`t enjoy them unless you`re a little perverted.

Zombie Holocaust is really cheesy and crappy, but in a good way. So, if you're into that kind of stuff, you should definitely see it. It has some sick scenes and pretty decent gore. Generally FX are pretty low budget so... Quality nudity though... not too much but more than usually

I'm not sure about ZOMBIE (1-4) and ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST. I know I've seen some of them, but the titles change so often that I can't keep track of which ones I've seen. I really liked Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE (the one about the island) - it was very exciting and gory.
I've seen a couple FACES OF DEATH and I found them incredibly boring and grainy. There are a few real deaths, but most of the violence is animal violence and special effects. While watching them, I felt bored and faintly queasy. In fact, I felt as if I'd been bathing in dirty dishwater. Not recommended.
I agree with Xipe - I like horror, but real deaths and animal cruetly are not horror. They are senseless, unnecessary and sickening.

I dont enjoy real horror either. I watched a faces of death and while I now know it wasnt real, it was just...boring. And disturbing on the animal scenes because I love animals. Although the animal scene I watched (with the Pig) seemed pretty real to me. I had thoughts of wishing people like that (the man who did that to the pig) well...you probably dont want to know what I would like to happen to those sort of sadistic individuals.

Actually Zombie 1 was really Dawn of the Dead in Europe. and it is possibly the best zombie flick ever.****
Zombie 2 was the European title again. In the US it was just called Zombie and was a pretty good but not great sequel from Lucio Fulci(who did some better flicks). This is his first forte into his barf bag epics. Some very cool but very gory parts and little bits of cheese here and there.***
Zombie 3 was both the Us and Europe title for this one. This was the one you really have to go into liking Zombie mahem and you will be pleasantly suprised. I found myself laughing at it more than being scared. Again some very cool/gore parts and with an extra dose of good old fashioned cheese thrown in.**1/2
Haven't seen Zombie 4 yet but only heard bad things.

First all the Zombie films are "in name only" sequels. They have nothing to do with each other.
Zombie is a classic expliotation/horror film from the 70s directed by Lucio Fulci (I'm sure you can find a TON of threads about Zombie on this board that details the deaths, check the Foreign Forum)
Zombie 3 (there is no Zombie 2, it's a LONG story) was started my Fulci, but he fell ill so someone else took over. The plot has nothing to do with the original)
The rest of the Zombie films are actually individually made zombie films that Media Blasters (a video distribution company) renamed Zombie 4 and Zombie 5 (with the original name as the subtitle) after they made money on Zombie 3. There are actually other zombie films that were released in some countries as Zombie 4 and 5 so actually there are 2 Zombie 4s out there. Actually a movie named Virus(aka Night of the Zombie, aka Hell of the Living Dead) was retitled Zombie 4 and 5 in different areas weird huh?

I have "Zombie Holocaust," and it is a pretty inetesting and gory-ass zombie movie. If you want to more about it, it goes like this - In New York, a mysterious cult is stealing body parts (hands, hearts, etc.; this is where the gore first gets good) from hospital patients, and the cult is traced to an old primal island, so a bunch of New Yorkers go there to investigate it (and that's where the serious gore-antics take place). The movie is dubbed, and has a fairly simple plot, but it is gory and fun as hell (in a good way of course, for us horror-escapists). If you're into zombie movies, you shouldn't miss this.
I also second that recomdation for "Zombie."
