...and apparently, it isn't Angelina. I hear Billy Bob's a major-league asshole, this could confirm it.

Angelina Jolie has no idea why her marriage to second husband Billy Bob Thornton failed -- because he didn't stick around to explain his decision to leave her.

The couple wed on May 5, 2000, but divorced on May 27, 2003, she was previously married to British actor Johnny Lee Miller for just four years.

Angelina, who last saw Billy Bob the day before her 27th birthday, on June 3, 2002, says, "I'd love to know (why it didn't work). We got into a big fight. I haven't seen him since."

I don't know why she should be surprised, all she has to do is look at how this man treated his last four (or is it five?) wives. According to Laura Dern, who Billy Bob was living with when he met Angelina, she went away for a brief location shoot on one of her films, and when she came back he was married to La Jolie. No explanation, not even a polite Good-Bye Note.

Gossip rags Down Under are claiming Billy Bob wants her back. Good flaming luck, I say. If I was Angelina I'd flip him off and fly to Paris to meet up with a certain Mr. Logan... ;)

Back on topic..."Who" Magazine (People's sister publication Down Under) recently had a long interview with Mlle. Jolie, where she mentioned she'd thrown Billy Bob's vial of blood into the trash and is trying to forget about him. She also backed up rumours that a big part of their break-up was due to her determination to adopt a Cambodian orphan (her son, Maddox). It seems he wasn't ready to be a father again.

I still think those two were perfect for each other...they had the same taste in dungeon decoration...

Seriously though, I had read that Angelina drew the line when he suddenly left to go on tour with his band to promote his reportedly terrible album. And this was right after they adopted Maddox, so I'd say that was a douche-worthy act. She's so better off without him.

You know, I noticed Billy Bob Thornton isn't saying anything and never really has said anything about the divorce, whereas Angelina constantly talks about it. To me, it seems Billy Bob is being the mature one about it, while Angelina is taking advantage of his silence and is therefore saying whatever she wants. I'm a huge fan of Billy Bob and only a mild fan of Angelina, so there may be a bias here, but that's my opinion about the whole thing.

I was really hoping this couple would make it just because nobody thought they would, and because they're such a delightfully weird pairing. Ah well...
