FINALLY!!!

I've had the first 2 seasons for awhile now, and I kept saying to myself "When is 3 coming out, when is 3 coming out?". Now I know!

Anyone else excited?

I'm VERY excited!!!!!!! The Simpsons is my FAVORITE show and I love all the classic beginning seasons (I've also owned the 1st 2 seasons on DVD for quite a while and have been waiting for this set.) I'm great to hear the official date it will be released and will definetly be buying it.

I'm also psyched about this. The third season is, as everyone knows, when The Simpsons really started to find its voice. The seasons will just keep getting better and better for a while now... But you know... It's taking them FOREVER between each set and they have so many to do... It's going to be years and years before they get the whole set out at this rate.

Mmmmmmmmm....... the land of chocolate....

God, please don't let them delay it again. If I don't have this by the end of August, I think I might die, or worse. I'VE BEEN WAITING LONG ENOUGH, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

The R2 release date has been pushed back AGAIN for some reason for some reason that I can't quite work out.

Wow! Chocolate! Half Price! Lalalalalala

Mr Simpson? Mr Simpson!

Huh? oh ho ho, i'm sorry..... we were talking about chocolate.

That was ten minutes ago!

The Simpsons makes me happy, and Season 3 kicks ass.

Yeah, Season 3 is when The Simpsons really hit its stride in full force - a stride that took more than a few seasons to break. I can't wait for Seasons 4-8.

the thing is some ppl are never happy. if they brought them all out pretty fast ppl wud complain saying they cant afford to get them all as they are being released. but i fully agree it is taking far to long to bring them out.

I think season 9 has some pretty good episodes in it as well. Perhaps not as good as 3-8, but decent none the less. As far as I'm concerned, that quality of the show didn't drop until season 10.

[Interrestingly enough, season 10 is the same year that Futurama came into conception. Groening focused more of his attention on that show, and brought some of The Simpson regulars along with him. Which no doubt explains why I love Futurama so much and can't stand the last 4 years of Simpsons]

They say in the intro for the first season something like "If you're lucky, you'll be able to get all the seasons just as the new format is rolling out!". Third season is the first truely great one, parts 3-6 are incredible. 7 and 8 are also very good, and 9 is the begining of the decline which hasn't stopped yet (well, to be fair, season 13 was better then 11 and 12 by a slight bit). I plan to buy 8, MAYBE 9, but nothing past that.

I'll buy all of them, though the recent seasons are barely decent.
