It's good to note that my list is based on his films, not his performance in that film, although so far I think he was the best in NOTORIOUS.

Well, Colin, 6 of those movies (Bringing Up Baby, Holiday, Only Angels Have Wings, She Done Him Wrong, I Was a Male War Bride, & Father Goose) I caught on Turner Classic Movies.

In fact, all month long in August they are having tribute days where they will do 24 hours full of movies devoted for one star at a time all month, so I would say 31 stars in all. Cary Grant is one of those stars...his day will start on August 9 and end early on August 10. Here is his schedule (Eastern Times, I'd say):

August 9th
The Grass Is Greener - 6:00 am
The Bishop's Wife - 8:00 am
Walk, Don't Run - 10:00 am
Father Goose - 12:00 pm
Destination Tokyo - 2:00 pm
I Was a Male War Bride - 4:30 pm
Notorious - 6:15 pm
Operation Petticoat - 8:00 pm
North by Northwest - 10:30 pm

August 10th
Arsenic & Old Lace - 1:00 am
My Favorite Wife - 3:00 am
Every Girl Should Be Married - 4:30 am

Some other stars include:
Aug. 1 - James Stewart day
Aug. 2 - Clint Eastwood day
Aug. 3 - Peter O'Toole day
Aug. 4 - Joan Crawford day
Aug. 5 - Fred Astaire day
Aug. 6 - Robert Mitchum day
Aug. 7 - James Cagney day

Etc., etc. you get the idea and can see for yourself at turnerclassicmovies.com for the rest.

Boy, does it sound like I'm spamming or what? Seriously, I'm just excited because some of those stars I've never seen a single movie from. So I will definitely be tuning in all-month long when I can!

I'm especially excited for 'James Stewart day'. One of my all time favorite actors. :)

Wow, that's awesome! I haven't watched TCM very much lately since I got Netflix, but I used to tape all the Star of the Month movies and stuff like that. (I taped the entire month-long Joan Crawford thing, which was like 50 movies.) I'll have to check this one out. Thanks, Other!

Yay! I just got PENNY SERENADE from Netflix today. Can't wait to watch it, my grandmother said it's a tearjerker and that Cary Grant is excellent in it. I just joined Netflix like a few days ago, got my first two movies yesterday, which were ROMAN HOLIDAY (1953) and CALIFORNIA SUITE (1978). And today, I got PENNY SERENADE (1941). I already watched ROMAN HOLIDAY (9/10) yesterday. I'm loving this Netflix thing. I'm trying to get the most of my free trail period, so I already sent ROMAN HOLIDAY back just a few hours ago, the next movie sent should be MARTY (1955).
