I wont go into everything we already know about this movie but two things always stick out in my head.
1. The opening credits. Just a slow zoom in on a pumpkin with that music. AMAZING!
2. Mike standing there as the door swings open and wearing the sheet over him. How can that not give you the chills each and every time?

"Foreign Language" is a genre?
Anyways, I guess most of my favourites are DRAMAS, and the best is APOCALYPSE NOW.

You know, I honestly cannot pick one.
I would say Sci-Fi, but I LOVE Mystery/Suspense. But I also love the Thrillers.
So, I shall not pick one.

War films are my favorite genre...so The Great Escape is a great example of that.
I chose Action/Adventure...with Goldfinger and Raiders of the Lost Ark being the best examples...and eventhough you don't have Fantasy in there...The Lord of the Rings is easily a part of the Adventure genre.
Basically action in many styles floats my boat!

Depending on what it is, animated films are not one specific genre, they are a format for which to express an artistic view.
Now for my choice: SCIENCE FICTION
ALIENS
Terminator 2
Star Wars
The Matrix
Minority Report
Blade Runner
Jurassic Park
and many more . . . .

It's hard for me to decide between Thriller/Mystery, Drama, and Action/Adventure. Sci-Fi is also close. I went with the less obvious choice Mystery/Thriller and the movie defining it is Spellbound.

Drama:
Taxi Driver or American Beauty. I can't choose.
I was going to vote for Science Fiction, but then I realize that most of my favourite movies are more of the drama variety. So...
Drama:
One film that supports my decision? American Beauty.
Horror:
The Silence of the Lambs
this is what cinema is all about..

Favorite Genre: Horror
Why?: Well, because of films like The Exorcist and Black Christmas, but also because it provides young up and coming directors to showcase their talents (i.e. Lucky McKee, with May)
