Actor Bruce Campbell Injured in Car Crash
Mon Jul 28,11:23 AM ET
RUCH, Ore. - Bruce Campbell (news), an actor whose credits include "Evil Dead," "Hercules," "Xena, Warrior Princess" and "Spider-Man" suffered minor injuries in a weekend accident.
Campbell, 45, of Jacksonville, was driving late Saturday when his car was struck by a Jeep driven by 36-year-old Steven Michael Sellers of Medford.
Sellars, who was ejected from his vehicle and struck the windshield of the Explorer, was listed in critical condition Sunday with head injuries.
Campbell, who has a cult following among horror film buffs, was treated and released from a local hospital.
Sellars was cited by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department for driving under the influence of intoxicants, assault, failing to maintain lane of travel, driving while suspended and for outstanding traffic tickets.

It is nice for a change to have the drunk driver be badly hurt and the victim be mostly fine. Just glad Bruce isn't dead.

Yeah, really. That's a relief at least.
I hate hearing stories about drunk drivers not being injured at all after colliding into an unsuspecting and completely cautious 8 year old walking their bike across the street.
Then they have to 'live with the pain of killing that child'. Yeah, well at least they get to LIVE, right?
So I'm glad no one died, and I'm even more glad the drunk driver had to pay more for his fault than the victim. Especially Mr. Bruce Campbell.

Man, that sucks. I hope Bruce is alright, he is one of the coolest personalities on film. Plus his book is great. I'd love to meet him, this almost made it certain I wouldn't.

One reason drunk drivers survive so often is because they're drunk - their body is loose and goes with the flow of the destruction, they're very relaxed so bumps and collisions damage them less. Kind of like trying to resist someone throwing a brick into your stomach - do you let it push you back or resist as hard as you can? Just a bit of trivia.
I did get to briefly meet Campbell at the Evil Dead 20th anniversary. He is indeed as cool as everyone says. I was amazed at how chatty some people were with him, which I thought was a little strange since as far as I knew, none of them had met him before. Oh well.

Bruce Campbell...invincible.
More seriously, get well quick, sir. I mean, is God angry at show business stars these days? If he don't kill 'em, he hurts 'em. Scary.

C'mon, this is The King; a car crash isn't going to faze him. He'll be back and kicking in no time, without a doubt.
Good to hear it wasn't to serious.
Just want to join everyone wishing Bruce a speedy and full recovery.
Hail indeed

Yeah I'm happy bruce is all right. I'm a liberal, I usually say "do what thou will" but drunk/drugged driving is just fucking stupid.
