Angels forever - 12:01am
They came, they saw, they didn't quite conquer. Failing to heat up the summer box office, Charlie's Angels Full Throttle will get another chance to rake in the cash on October 14th, when Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment releases the hyperkinetic sequel in separate PG-13 rated and Unrated versions. Each retails for $27.95, and here's a teaser of what to expect on the unrated version: 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, additional footage, a "telestrator" video commentary by director McG including a play-by-play dissection of scenes, multiple featurettes, a "Cameo-Graphy" to test viewers' knowledge of celebrity appearances, trailers, and Pink's music video for "Feel Good Time." Watch for the full details in the weeks ahead.

As most of you already know, I LOVED this movie and will definetely be buying it, maybe even in both versions. Not to mention that October 14th is also my 15th birthday, so I will have loads of extra cash to spend. I can't wait!!!

Did the Lucy,Drew and Cameron commentary get scapped. I hope because I really like hearing what the actors and actresses have to say on the movie.

More than likely the cover will be the only thing thats unrated. Beings as that term, "unrated", gets thrown around a lot.

I remember the days were we had to wait a little longer than this for the home video release of a movie. I loved waiting months for a movie to come to video - I'm patient and I find it better when I can't remember every thing about the movie. Once movie home video releases was special but not now. See how successful LOTR was last November. We had a whole year to look forward to it and when it came out it was great!
As for the un-rated gimmick, don't expect much. They may say the word "ass" once more! These days the word "un-rated" means shit.

Yeah, Oct. 21 is a better release date, because doesn't The Matrix Reloaded come out on the 14th?

Movie looks retarded, but I might actually rent the unrated version if it turns out to be more violent.

I enjoyed this bad boy, but I am still pondering whether I should pick this up or not. But then again, I love Drew Barrymore.....

Pretty packed disc. Aren't really focusing on the storyline I see, summing it up in under 25 words.

There were a few times in the movie where I noticed language that seemed edited--the word mother fucker was blanked out, even though you could clearly see it being mouthed. I'm not sure if Lucy Liu saying "beeyotch" was changed from "bitch" but I think it's likely. I think there were a few more as well.
The unrated version will probably just put those back in, and maybe show the Angels being beat around a little bit harder (as if it wasn't already unrealistic--I started thinking I was watching Death Becomes Her)
The "four additional features" seem to be pulling in the people looking for more sex, but there obviously won't be any nudity. By the way, I wonder if the skit from the MTV Movie Awards will be included. Maybe that's what "Turning Angels into Pussycat Dolls" is.

on the back cover of the unrated version, it says the films runnung time is 107 minutes. Whats the running time of the theatrical version? That will tell you how "untrated" it is...

Figures, the original version of the sequal is 105 minutes...

Guess you'll just have to buy both versions and switch the discs if you want the good version of the DVD (unrated) and the good version of the cover (rated).
