Twin Peaks Season 1

I just recently bought the Twin Peaks Season 1 Box Set. I popped in the first disk today and the very first episode someone says "previously on Twin Peaks". Now this is the first episode, am I missing something?

Is there a Pilot I'm supposed to watch first or what? Is the box set I have only part of the first season? I need help fast!

Yes, there is a pilot episode.... hasnt been released on DVD in the US, but theres an all region Asian import of it, easy to find on eBay. There is also a movie that was a prequel to the series called Fire Walk With Me.
I think the pilot is also included in the season 2 box set, which is available in Europe (region 2)

Do NOT - I repeat - do NOT watch the movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me until you have watched at least the whole second season of the TV series, or you're in for a majorly bad spoiler and less exciting mystery.

But yes, there was a pilot, and it's kinda important to see it if you can (even as a rental). It's a great introduction to the characters of Twin Peaks...
and there's a dream that Agent Cooper has which is often made reference to in the series that is crucial to the puzzle of Who Killed Laura Palmer!

Thanks guys! Do you know if they are going to release the rest of Season One on DVD? I'd really like to own the entire first season instead of just the first 7 episodes.

The first season has the pilot and the seven episodes you have. The rest in Season 2. I think. Someone else can probably confirm this.

Yeah, I think I figured it out. But thanks anyway! And by the way, the pilot is not on the Season 1 Box Set.
