Much like the Demons series, the Zombi/Zombie series is simply a loose chain of unrelated (and incoherent) films. Nevertheless, I'm anxious to check out Zombie 5: Killing Birds, which just hit DVD. Why, you ask? Fuck if I know; it has that "inane cheese" appeal that I can't seem to resist. My will isn't strong enough to pass it up, so I'll more than likely rent it soon. Has anyone seen it?

I totally understand what you mean about having an attraction to cheese , italian horror cheese in particular . No , i haven't seen this , but it looks entertaining in that Demons 3 and 4 way that only the italians can do , so i'll be buying this one for sure .

The plot sounds like it could have been something cool:

A man murders his wife and lover but is then killed by a bunch of birds. Years later, a group of people are looking to tak pictures of birds and encounter the house where the little massacre happened. The dead bodies rise and the birds are beginning to swarm.

Sounds like it could have had a little more potential to be better than a cheese film if you ask me.

It's directed by Joe Damato , how can it be anything other than cheesy exploitation ?

Ok, you have a point there.
