Anna Paquin is definitely a better actress. I bet if you put her in Star Wars she'd be able to overcome the weak material and give a decent performance whereas Natalie Portman is only capable of giving good performances if she's got good material to work from.

Anna is prettier too..

Take the acting chops of Anna Paquin, and combine it with the looks of Natalie Portman, and you'll have an all around great female. Portman's hotter, but isn't 1/2 the actress Paquin is

Anna Paquin is one of my favorite actresses, but for looks alone, I would have to give the slight edge to Natalie Portman.

Ill go with Anna Paquin on this one... and I also think Keira Knightley is hotter than Portman as well... (even though they almost look like twins)

Hotter? Natalie Portman by FAR, it's not even a question, she's the most beautiful actress of her generation. In terms of acting ability though, Natalie can't a hold a candle to Paquin.

Personally, I'll choose Natalie Portman, but its only by a smidgen. But I do have to say Paquin was looking exceptionally good in X2...

portman, but close. paquin was looking pretty good in x2. portman is hotter imo. actually i like keira knightley better than natalie portman. they look similar.

I think Natalie beats Anna in both talent and looks. Even though Paquin is quite lovely and a good actress too.

Portman is a great actress it's just that she hasn't done anything in awhile other than Star Wars Episode II and those Star Wars movies really don't show her acting talent well. It's not her fault. It's the writing. In Attack of the Clones she was given some pretty bad dialogue to say that not even Meryl Streep or Julianne Moore could say it convincingly. The last non Star Wars movie she did was the underrated movies Where the Heart Is and Anywhere but Here. She was terrific in both.
