Confirmed for release in Australia. 8th October is a special edition DVD of the slasher classic. Although I'm still waiting for confirmation about whether or not it will be uncut, sources are leaning to towards a big YES. Extra's on the DVD will be Theatrical trailer. Feature length commentary with Sean S. Cunningham and a very a new documentary titled Return to Crystal Lake: The Making of Friday The 13th. I also have word on a price... the dvd will be going for $24.95. Now this is one dvd I will be snatching up.

You guys are sooooooo lucky!!We have to get the crappy Paramount releases with no extras.I have heard about the DVD Boxset of 1-8.They might all be UNCUT.Im not holding my breath though.Im still gonna be optomistic about it.

Do you know what region it will be? My player can play Region 1 and 2 but that's it.

This is great. For once in my life I'm glad to be an Australian getting releases that other countries might not get.

Damn this sucks. Great for you guys over there but it sucks for us here in the US. I would pay over 40 bucks for this. Thats how much I love this series. I second the notion that different region dvds blow.
