I loved this man even before I even saw him in his feature film debut in James Whales' "The Invisible Man". His distinctive voice and dark sense of humor made the character his own. Of course his success spanned way further than that to (to name a few) "Phantom of the Opera" to "The Adventures of Robin Hood", to "Notorious" to "Lawrence of Arabia"... This man's career proved that those who were not born with the "classic Hollywood Hunk looks" could pack a whole lotta punch. What do you think of this talented and classy actor?

YAY

Most of the films I've seen him in were the classic Universal monster movies. My favorite role of his is when he played Larry Talbot's stern, yet caring father in The Wolf Man. Rains had great talent.
